In this unit I worked on closed ended questions that I would be asking the expert witness on the day of the Ötzi trail. When I was working on this, I was allowed to use AI chat bot to help me get questions that were connected to my research topic about cold weather, poor clothing, and Otzi’s belongings that were not stolen. On the day of the mock trial I had the law of the lawyer that would be asking questions to the expert witness that would need to answer them and when I finish all of my questions I would say a sentence saying how Ötzi died.
What did I learn?
In this unit I learned how to use an AI chat bot and what open and ended questions are and how to write them. These were easy things to learn, so it didn’t take me a long time to learn them. When I finished this that’s when I started to ask the chat bot questions to make the closed questions that I will be saying to witness stronger and connected to my topic.
What worked well?
One thing that worked well was that every time I had a task to do, I stayed focus because I didn’t want to make a mistake in front of two classes. To stay focused on my work at all times I needed to work hard and not letting my best friend that was sitting right next to me talk and getting me stuck on another topic that would not help me with anything. Even though my friend was right next to me I managed to stay focused every class.
What did not work?
One thing that did not work was my opening statement. This didn’t work because in class when I was writing it I needed to do it with my best friend about the arrowhead that struck a major artery that killed Ötzi but instead I was supposed to write it about all the topics including the topics that my friends in my group had. Sence this didn’t work at school I took a lot of time making it better at home and even after hours I still felt Like it was wrong.
Personal Relevance.
This unit helped me in learning new things like using an AI chat bot and what open and closing questions are. This was a great unit because I learned new things and it was an opportunity to show your classmates what we all had worked so hard at for weeks. This can help me and others in the future because if you ever get selected to go to the jury you would have an idea of what you’re supposed to do.
In this unit we got into groups and we needed to go home to someones house and bake something of our choice. What my group chose to sell was rice crispy and chocolate cookies. During the bake sale we sold up to 40 items in total.
What did we learn?
One thing that we learned were to fined the markup price for the rice crispy and the cookies. we did this by adding all of the costs from the ingredients and then dividing that by the amount of the cookies or rice crispy.
What worked?
What worked for my group was that we didn’t have any problems while baking and selling. I think that it worked great because we choose the right recipes and rice crispy and cookies are very
What did not work?
One thing that didn’t work was when each group needed to fill out worksheets from part 1 to part 3 about the sale. And what we did was that we got all the worksheets but we thought that we work together on one peace of paper witch was right just we were supposed to have our own sheet of paper.
Personal relevance
I think that this unit could be good in the future because is your going to start your own business about food or drinks you would need to know what the markup price should be so that you will make prophet.
I made a egg car that would need to follow some criteria like needing to make the car shorter than 16cm and it cant be wider than 6.5cm.
What did I learn?
One thing that I noticed was that their was newtons laws while the car was moving. The laws that I could really see were newtons 1st and 3rd. i saw these when the car hit the concreat wall and because of inertia the egg wanted to keep moving forward and due to the law of action and reaction when the car hit the concreat wall the car wanted to fly back with and equal force. To stop these accidents from happening we added a seatbelt and crumple zone.
What worked?
The things that worked were the seatbelt, and crumple zone. I think they worked because I put a lot of time working on them and it was defiantly the most important design to work on.
What didn’t work?
one thing that didn’t go great was that when the car hit the concreat wall the car sometimes wanted to flip over and land on its top. What I think the problem was that we had too little weight in the back of the car that made the car flip over.
Personal Relevance
Some things that I learned in this project are like if im designing a car. Its good to know this because you wouldn’t want the car that you’ll spent a long time designing to crash the first day. Thats why you can learn a lot of things from this.
The balloon car was built using toy wheels, plastic, and balloons. We used the car to learn about the three laws of Newtons. the laws we learned are inertia, acceleration, and action reaction.
What did I learn?
Newtons 1st law stats that an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon an unbalanced force. Newtons 2nd law stats that the more mass an object has the more force it will take for the object to accelerate. This law we saw with the balloon car when we added weight and the car moved slower and didn’t travel the same distance as with no weight. Newtons 3rd law stats that with every force comes an equal and opposite reaction.
What worked?
What worked was that the car always moved because when we build it we tried our best to make it work as good as we could because we new that we would need it multiple times. To make it as good as we could we worked hard and experimented what we can change. One thing that we changed was the straw size because we noticed that the shorter and thicker the straw the faster the car tended to move.
What didn’t work?
It was a struggle when we needed to to change the straw size to a bigger size because we placed a lot of tape making sure that the straw wouldn’t fall out even with a lot of force. To solve this problem we quickly ripped out the tape making sure we didn’t rowen the car by ripping it apart into small pieces.
Personal relevance?
The Balloon Car was like the acceleration of a car in the real world, when I let the car go. I can feel Newtons 1st law of motion when going in a sharp turn on a car in real life. It is important to know these Laws because it helps you know everything that can happen inside of a car.
I am writing a fictional story based on a theme that matters to me.
What are we learning?
Theme (my purpose for writing this story, my message to readers)Character Development (creating believable characters with positive & negative traits)Plot (the sequence of events in my story; Western and Eastern approaches to storytelling)Setting (the world that I create for my story)
Whats working?
Whats working for me is Im having fun and when writing the story I feel like i really did my best even tho I couldn’t get a lot of words. In my story I am prod of the detail of my story because when reeding through it i could really see in my head what was going on and why that was happening. I got the idea of this story from a book that I was reeding in class and it talked a lot about Survival and nature. The Best Line from My Story is:When he got there, he decided to make it quick so that no one would spot him even in the distance. Because its apart of the chase witch is my favourite part of the story so far.
Areas for growth?
A element that was hard to find out was were Henry is supposed to go and steal food from. I deal with it by thinking of what I would do if I had no chose but too steal. My least favorite part of the story is when Henry gets home from the chase and talks to bill about what happened because it was a bit boring.

Creative writing can help me with many things like if I got trapped in a maze and I would need to think outside of the box to find my self out of a maze. I think creative writing was very fun and you needed to think in ways that you might not have done before.
An art work that I am proud of is a project is a football field that I made out of card board. It made me feel happy and when I finished it I wanted to make another one but bigger because this one was small however I didn’t have time for that. I am proud of this work because it was very fun and even tho I didn’t have a lot of time to work on it it was still very inspiring to me. I was very exiting while crafting this and was just awaiting to see the final peace.
In this unit I learn how to bump, spike, and serve a legal underhand serve. For the under hand serve I needed to through the ball straight up and hit the ball with power so it goes over the net and where I want it to go. Im still not the best at serving but what I feel like I did good was to find the right amount of power so the ball goes over.
I used my critical thinking skills to complete challenges with Indi robot cars and build rollercoasters with Gravitrax.
What did I learn?
I learned about how I would be graded for Critical Thinking. Critical thinking is my ability to solve problems and make the right decisions.
What worked?
I thought critically when I problem solved the robot cars/Indi. I thought critically because I needed to figure out what each colors did to the cars movement when it drove passed it.
What did not work?
What was hard for me was on the Gravitrax sense the track pieces didn’t have all the sizes. So I needed to make the tower taller or sorter depending on how sort or how long the track was.
Personal relevance?
Critical thinking is great and helps you a lot. Thinking critically is important because it challenges you to think hard and ask questions to get a better answer.
