Unit 2 Social Studies

In unit two ..;/;social studes we made a essay based on our reasearch that states the positive and negative impacts on a certain topic and mine being the cruise. The essay I composed resulted in a great success leading into a. good grade and adventually, i used that essay to help me make my project the minecraft world in a serperate

I think i could improve on my skills to write the introduction because a lot of people like my sister and friends said it wasn’t very intresting when they read the first sentence. I could improve by using AI more often to give me examples of good intros and learn from them to improve my over all introduction and concusion part. Also the same goes for conclusion.

Unit 3 Portfolio Refleciton

This unit in math we learned a lot of things including how to calculate tips and taxes and use the skill of calculating pecentages in a real world situation. (The summative project)

Unit 1 Reflection

In unit 1 this year, we did a unit on proportionality and we learned the basic formula to support us in doing math this unit.

At the end of the unit this unit summary sheet was made to showcase my learning in the past three months

Unit 2 Minecraft Project

I chose to do minecraft because I thought it would a good and fun way to present my topic the cruise ship and I could have fun while presenting what i’ve learned.

I did well on the entire thing the idea and the base and the whole presenting part of the project.

I didn’t do well on creating the model as it’s too big, its supposed to be a 1 to 1 scaled copy of a cruise ship and it was way to big and even with commands i couldn’t finish it.

Next time i shouldn’t try to make the cruise ship that big as I couldn’t finish it and I should make a smaller version of the cruise ship and focus more on the impacts on European society rather than the ship design and the interior.

Unit 2 Body System-Cell Portfolio

This unit in science the unit was a long one, we had two general parts, the body system part and the human cells part. At the end we had to do two seperate projects, for the body system we had to make a model of a designated body sytem and for cells we had to choose between illness and sports and create a model to put in a blind box for the project.

I think I did well on the final projects of both parts because I enjoyed the creation and I succed on the creation. For the body systems my partner and I got the endokrine system and we made a full model of the endokrine system. and for the sell I used the software onshape and brought what I learned in DT to science.

I need to improve on all the small assesments at the start of the unit as it usually takes a long time for me to remember all the organelles in cells and all the organs in the different body systems for body system.

I think this will be useful in life because it is absolutly useful for us to learn about our bodies and the amazing things it does.

Collaboratioin in ELA

In ELA this semester, I think that overall I did pretty good in terms of collaboration, but I had a very tight “border control” with my neighbor as nobody could cross the line and if crossed, the line will advance in the invaders direction. I think this system was completely not necessary and I will talk to my neighber and try to tell him to just be cool with personal space.

This year, I think I that the normal daily collaboration is pretty successful for me, I had almost no problems and the only problems ended up being some miner issues mainly with my neighbor.

In class, I sometimes raise my hand when I am 100% sure that I am stating facts but when that percentage is lowed, I normally avoid taking the risk of getting questions wrong. I think I could change this by raising my hand no matter how sure I am with my answer so I could learn more from my mistakes.

Unit 2 ELA

This unit in language arts, we had a summative spit into three parts, a outline in class, a presentation and a CERER that we have to complete.

I think compared to the formative, I did pretty good because on the formatives I got mostly 2s but I got 2 3s and 1 2 for the summative. I think this is because I followed my study plan to prepare for the summative strictly.

I feel good about my presentation skills and outlineing but when because I like to learn this way.

I need to improve on having a typical paper test because it is a little bit confusing for me to as I failed to understand the claim which directly cause my fail of the CERER and the only reason I didn’t absolutly fail is because I nailed the conventions.

I used the feedback pretty effectivly as seen my grade has improved from sometimes a 3 (formative) to mostly a 3 (summative) The feedback I thought was pretty useful and it help me make the strict study plan that I followed in order to gget the grades I got, overall I’m pretty happy with what I got.

If I could redo this assesment, I think that I would reconsider my choice on the claim as that is the whole reason I failed the test, I failed the claim, therefore my evidence wasn’t relevant and my reasoning was not relevant too.

My goal for Unit 3 is to get all 3s on all the formative and summative by follwing a strict study plan like I did. But now I currently can’t plan that because the topic for Unit 3 hasn’t been revealed yet.

DT RC Car

This unit I leanred the basics of 3D modeling and how to create parts of a car using the software called onshape. I did the design correct and it was very cool, I failed on the part where I forgot that the printers didn’t allow printing stuff without support so it just ended up as a blob of unkown 3D printing substance.

DT Clock

In this unit, I learned the basics of clock mechanics, inscape usage and to combine them into make a clock. I did well on the ideate as I had some pretty cool designs but I failed on the clock it self because I messed up the math calculations, math is not mathing.

Math

This unit, I understood that the units when talking about the scale factors are very important, you might fail badly when get the units wrong. Also I understood that the SF where it goes matter, for example, 1/50 might be the SF from A-B but 50 is the real answer because the question is asking for SF from B-A.

New stratigies that could be used is the formlas that was tought in class, SF= copy/original which is helpful in countless problems that requires us to solve the SF, explain the SF or find out the opposing digit using the SF.

I don’t find this unit to be intressting but some actually useful things to learn is the calculation of SF and nothing else. This is because the SF can help in many ways but like converting untis, maps are all useless due to the technology these days.

Something tricky for me would be the units conversion because on the summativ I missed two question just because of that.
