Social Studies Unit 1: Media Presentation

Amykimi.GoldC1.CrowdFunding.MOV

What are some pieces of feedback that you received and then incorporated into your work?

I incorporated the feedback that I should add a video about the situation of the orphanage in the Peer Evaluation. As a result, I was able to present my opinion more clearly. I also tried looking less at my notecards when doing the actual presentation because my teammates have given me feedback that I should look at my information less during my practice presentation.

Explain 1 thing that you are proud of from this unit.

I’m proud that I learned about how connotations can affect the audience and how I incorporated the knowledge to my Summative Project.

Explain 1 thing that you want to keep working on.

I think it would have been better if I had put Logos in my video of my crowd funding as well to make it more credible.

In your own words, explain what Bias is.

Bias is a prejudice for a person or group normally in an unfair way. People use many techniques such as connotations to do this.

Explain 1 positive outcome of people having the same perspective might be.

Having the same perspective will cause less bias and reduce conflicts happening due to bias. This will result the people to be more together.

Explain 1 negative outcome of people having the same perspective might be.

People become limited to the ideas(closed mindset), which won’t help with the development of the people.
