Unit 4: Problem solving Reflection

U: What do you understand in this unit?

I understood the key formulas of solving operations and solving areas and volumes of geometric shapes and how and where to utilize it.

N: What new information did you learn in this unit?

I learned that solving operations can be used in various parts of our life such as construction, baking, and landscaping.

I: What was interesting in this unit?

It was interesting to use cube shaped boxes and pyramid shaped boxes to compare their volume relationship.

T: What was tricky for you in this unit?

It was tricky to identify which sign to change to, either -(minus sign) or +(plus sign).

Math Unit 3:Proportionality&Percentages Summary

U: What did do you understand in this unit?

I understood how to use proportionality and percentages to represent and solve real-life problems, by working with ratios, unit rates, and percent calculations in different forms such as fractions, decimals, tables, and graphs.

N: What new information did you learn in this unit?

I learned various formulas for calculating percentages and words in real-life related to percentages.

I: What was interesting in this unit?

I was surprised about the places around me where percentages were used.

T: What was tricky for you in this unit?

I was hard figuring out the meanings of percentage words in questions.

Unit 2-Proportionality and Scale Drawing Reflection

U: What do you understand in this unit?

I understand that the perimeter and the area of scaled shapes are proportional to the scale factor is different ways.

N: What new information did you learn in this unit?

I learned new math words such as scale factor and scaled shapes.

I: What was interesting in this unit?

It was interesting to learn the relationship between the scale factor and the scaled shapes.

T: What was tricky for you in this unit?

I had to read the questions carefully so I didn’t make any mistakes such as misreading the order of the scaled shape.

Math-Unit 1 Reflection

U: What did you understand in this unit?

I understood about the steps to take to solve CoP (Constant of Proportionality) by using graphs and tables according to the data given.

N: What new information did you learn in this unit?

I learned the word CoP and applying the concept of graph to solve the CoP.

I: What was interesting in this unit?

It was interesting finding the various examples of CoP in our life such as the relationship between the speed of the car and the distance the car went.

T: What was tricky for you in this unit?

It was tricky solving CoPs when the data were in complicated fractions because I kept on making mistakes when solving it.
