The egg car criteria is to design and build a car with a safety system that will deliver an egg safely down a ramp.
We see Newton’s third law in action with the egg car when the car hits the brick and the reaction is when the egg tries to fly out of the “seat”.
We see Newton’s first law in action when the car is moving down the ramp. The force acts on the brick which caused the car to stop in the end.
What worked well was the crumple zone and the seat belt for the egg because it protect the egg really well. We had to build a strong crumple zone that protects the egg from cracking.
The structure of the car was not successful because it was too weak and it broke easily. To solve this problem we tape the parts together but the wheels still broke.
