武术 Reflection

what did I learn

In this unit we learn 武术 is very fun and some of us even get to perform on stage.

What did I do

I did 武术 and different moves like the horse stand and the left hand punch. I also do 武术 as a class.

What worked?

The position my position and stand is very good since every time i was in the same spot and not moving around.

What did not work?

The punch moves since it is hard to see the teacher also I don’r really understand the moves in the end.

personal relevance

It can defend my self and protects me from being in dangered.

TTG Reflection

Transdisciplinary Transfer Goals (TTG’s) are specific goals that is helpful to my learning. There are 5 TTG’s: Critical Thinker, Creative Learner, Ethical Global Citizen, Effective Collaborator, and Skillful Communicator. TTG’s support my academic learning because it is a specific goal that I can reach to improve my grades thats reasonable.

Critical Thinker: To be a critical thinker means to think in many different ways and

Ethical Global Citizen: An ethical global citizen is someone who

Creative Learner: To be a creative learner means

Effective Collaborator: To be an effective collaborator means to

Skillful Communicator: A skillful communicator is someone who

For Semester 2, I would like to focus on the TTG skillful collaborator because I need to improve my social skills and I need to participate more in classes with my peers.

Semester 2 SMART Goal Reflection.

My goal for Semester 2 is…

Participate more in class and share my ideas out three times a week in Social Studies and Language Arts.

I will measure my goal by record myself every time I participate in class

Some actions I will take to help me achieve my goal are be more active during class conversations and give more ideas out to my teacher and my classmate.

This goal is realistic because it is doable and it helps with my learning in a good way since I’m not really participating in

I will track my goal every day two and I am to reach my goal by focus more on Social Studies.

BAND SDT REFLECTION

We pick this music because is a classic song from the 1900s . I learn that we should pick the music we like since we can try our hardest to perform in front of the class.

I learn that I very like this song and I also learn about team work. One skill that I gained is to play very very high notes with others in the same pace. I feel more confident playing in front of people know since I practice and give my best effort.

One challenge is the speeding of our songs. At first everyone was playing different pace but then we resolve this by working on that specific part of the song together and make sure that we all play on the same beat.

Our team work is one of the most important thing that contributed to our success since we need to work with each other neatly and we also need confidence since we have to perform in front of the whole class.

Balloon Car

Me and my partner created a balloon car using a piece of cardboard, two thin straws, on thick straw, four wheels, two sticks and, a balloon. The criteria for this is to build a car powered only by a balloon that can travel the farthest distance in a straight line. We also used hot glue guns, rubber bands and, tape to build the car.

Newtons first law of motion is when an object at rest tends to stay at rest and a object in motion tends to stay in motion un less the object is acted upon by an unbalanced force. A real life example is when I kick a ball and it rolls. Newtons second law is law of acceleration this law states the acceleration of an object with constant mass is proportional to the net force action on it and is in the same direction of the net force. An real life example of this is when I ride my bike the bike accelerates every time I ride it. Newtons third law states for every action theres an equal or opposite reaction. A real life example is when I shoot a gun the reaction is the bullet flying onto the target.

I struggle with making my balloon car go on a straight line and the design of my car. Our design was too weak and the wheels kept on getting stuck which makes the car go very slow. Another thing I struggle with is when the car broke and we have to tape the car over and over again. In the end our car broke in half and the tape fell of.

I think what we learn using the balloon car relates to the real world by making us understand how friction or forces work

Critical thinking-Gravittrax

Critical thinking is a problem solving skills.

I made a marble roller coaster which the marble glide down a track it self.

I struggle when the marble gets stuck in the middle of the way but eventually I solved that problem.

We manage to make the marble slide down the tracks smoothly without any troubles.

Today’s learning will help me understand more about gravity and how to build more and better structures.

I learned how to use a Gravittrax and how to build a marble coaster.

Welcome to Your New Portfolio!

Why have a digital portfolio at SAS?

Creating a portfolio, or blog is a great way to collect all the work you’ve done throughout your academic career. You can include academic, athletic, and personal artifacts or experiences that you want to share with a wider audience. This is a great way to organize all your learning in one place and you can take it with you when you leave SAS.  When you make your portfolio, you create posts that are categorized according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you, but if you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:
  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category. Think of this as the first opportunity to engage and hook your reader!
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This should include a combination of text and media in the form of images, graphics, and embedded videos. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging and organized? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
  • Tags – create tags that can be used as keywords to describe your post. Tags help organize your post a little more! Aim to have 3-5 tags for each post. For example, if you are posting about a novel you wrote, you might want the following tags: #Fiction, #MurderMystery, #Theme, #PlotDiagram
