For this task, I created a Minecraft model timeline to visually represent the historical development of automobiles. I chose this format because Minecraft’s block-based structure allows for a unique, interactive 3D representation of key milestones in automotive evolution. This engaging format facilitates a clearer understanding of how cars have transformed over time, making complex historical information more accessible and enjoyable to explore.
One thing I did well was designing an interactive and visually appealing timeline that effectively showcased the progression of automobiles.
To improve, I could focus on adding more details to the cars in my model, this makes it easier to see the differences from one to another in my model.
first I did research on my topic the effects of the automobiles on the society, I selected and annotated three articles for information about my topic. then I put these information into a graphic organizer. after this I wrote the claim evidence reasoning for the positive impacts of the automobile, then I wrote about the negative impacts of the automobiles, after that I wrote about how the who and how people fixed the negative impacts, finally we wrote our beginning and ending for our CER essay.
one strength of mine was creating a clear and good claim, this help provide the direction for the rest of my writing in that paragraph.
An area for improvement is refining my reasoning so it can better link to the evidence and claim, making my whole paragraph stronger.
the question I chose is question A What happens inside our bodies when we get sick? When we get sick, things like hemophilia affect our cells, triggering problems in our body. Learning about cells and body systems helps us learn what consequences things like hemophilia can cause. one example is hemophilia can cause different problems related to proteins strands that causes problems in producing clotting factor in cells. This connects to the idea that our body’s subsystems are composed of cells as if your blood cells have hemophilia this causes prolonged bleeding for your whole body and effects your circulatory system.
I prefer to learn seeing how it works in real life, so the dissections helped me a lot in learning about the body systems because for me seeing the real pig’s heart and lungs made the diagrams we looked at in class make more sense. It was interesting to see how the heart muscle and the lungs looked, this helped me understand their functions better than just looking at boring diagrams. Additionally, the clay modelling activity helped me learn about the body systems in a more interesting and fun way.
I want to improve my CER writing skills, some of the times it is hard for me to write in first person , I start writing and go on to use first person words like “I” or “my” when writing the reasoning. To fix the problem, I will read my writing to make sure that my CER in according to the requirements of the teacher and does not include words like “me” “I” or “we” that are first person.
In this project I tried to modify the wheels of my RC car using 3D printing, but the attempt failed. The design didn’t come out as planned, and the wheels were not usable. On the other hand, the laser cutting part of the project went really well. I successfully made a roof and a ram for the car, and both pieces fit nicely.
Making a clock for a teacher taught me about success and problem‑solving. I felt proud when the clock turned out the way I planned. I did face problems, like the spray paint going everywhere and the hole for the mechanism being too small. These mistakes happened because I didn’t check my design carefully and didn’t know how to spray paint properly. I learned that being prepared and practicing are just as important as being creative, and next time I will be more careful before I start.
In this unit I learned how to do artistic swimming and move with the music. It was fun to try swimming in rhythm and make my movements look good(it was bad). I also practiced treading water and got better at staying up without getting tired(to save life). These skills helped me feel more confident in the water and made swimming more fun.
I used to think as long as an influencers post does not sound to cray and he sounds very authentic and truthful his post is reliable and true. for medical advice I used to think as long as they have a Dr in their name they are very reliable and what they say is authentic and truthful.
but now I know that when I check whether this post is reliable I need to use the crap test and check which fields he got his Dr for and whether it is related to the topic he is talking about on the post.
So, when I was working on our 9/11 newspaper project, a classmate of mine gave me some feed back. He mentioned that my layout could use a bit of a makeover to look more modern and eye-catching. Plus, he recommended using bolder fonts to make it easier for people to read our articles. He shared his thoughts, which made a big difference! I gave the newspaper a fresh look, considering his suggestions. I chose fonts that complemented the new design and made the text stand out. Without his help my work will not look so great.
There’s one thing I’m super proud of from our whole project. Is a very emotional and persuasive essay I wrote for the newspaper, which helped show different perspectives of the 911 event. I added lots of emotions into writing a powerful piece. I wanted my essay to leave a lasting impression and really make people think about the experiences and struggles faced by those affected by 9/11 both because of losing their family and being discriminated. Based on my classmates’ feedback, I think I managed to achieved a very emotional newspaper.
Even though I’m happy with my essay, I still have a lot problems and mistakes. For example, I realized that public speaking is something I need to work on. When I presented my project to some classmates, I got nervous and forgot what to say. I’m going to practice my speaking skills so in the future accidents like this will not happen. With time and a lot of practice, I’m sure I’ll become a better speaker and learn how to speak to the audience without feeling nervous.
Bias is basically when someone leans towards an opinion. It is often shaped by things like personal beliefs and experiences, and can make it hard for someone to look at event evenly.
When people have the same perspective, it can help them feel united and work together. This can be super helpful when tackling hard tasks or projects because people with same views will likely understand other’s ideas more easily. After 9/11, for example, many Americans came together with a shared sense of resilience and unity, which helped them overcome losses and start to heal their wounds.
Sometimes, people with the same perspective can have less different ideas. This is when people getting along and start agreeing with each other over questioning and challenging ideas. This can cause problems because it might make people ignore other viewpoints and solutions. After 9/11, many people shared feelings of fear and anger, which unfortunately led to increased discrimination and prejudice against people of Middle Eastern people and Muslims. This happened because people directed their anger at an entire group instead of focusing on the specific individuals who planed the attack
In this unit, we learned about proportional relationships, which involve a constant ratio between two variables. I explored how to represent these relationships using tables, equations, and graphs, and you discovered the use of the constant of proportionality (cop) in these relationships.
I learned how to identify proportional relationships, calculate the constant of proportionality, and apply this knowledge to real-world scenarios. I also learned to see whether a relation is proportional or non-proportional
It was interesting to discover the prevalence of proportional relationships in everyday life, from cooking and baking to currency conversion and interest calculations.
I might find it challenging to distinguish between proportional and non-proportional relationships in some of the times when they have lots of number and some parts are proportional
