In this unit, we learned about slope intercept form and point slope form. I think I mastered these two skills pretty well during the COL. Also we learned about explaining the context of the correlation coefficient, I also did pretty well on that during the test, but some ways I could have improved was adding trends and explaining in more details. Depending on the grade, I think I did pretty well overall yet I could have aimed for a 4 instead of not challenging myself. I received some parcials since I had some small errors for example not showing my work, not using the x value and other errors that could’ve been fixed if I had checked after I was done with my tests.
In this unit, we learned abouts slopes intercepts. our final project was to make our own real world problem on slopes. I think I did pretty well on making the story and solving the questions we made since we did it correctly and accurately. One thing we could improve on is checking our work because we had on obvious mistake that we didn’t see and this might’ve impacted us not receiving a exceeding grade. One challenge we faced was making the question, we were aiming for 4 so we tried to make an outstanding story while making it realistic and making the questions challenging enough. I think we overcame this challenge but not to our expectation on receiving a 4. If I could revise on part of the project, it would be the small error we made because it was a mistake that was not suppose to be made.
In this Unit, we learned about Healthy and unhealthy relationships. We learned about boundaries, and consent. For example, Sexual harassment is when you do something without consent of others and making them feel uncomfortable and crossing their boundaries.
In this unit, one important idea I learned is that many actions count as sexual harassment even if it seems small joke. For example, what seems like filtering is sexual harassment even for you it seems like a joke. Also, I learned about how to say in ways that won’t make others feel uncomfortable. One way is when you don’t know the other person’s gender and doesn’t know how to ask, you could introduce yourself by saying your gender. One final idea I learned is that there are more than 2 genders. For example, you cannot just justify or think that a person by their outfit because they might be a different gender then what you think.
In this unit we are put into groups and researched on questions about a specific topic. Our group’s topic was anxiety. I used to think anxiety was just a kind of mental illness that is easily cured. I also had stigma towards mental illness, I believed that many murder events were caused by people with mental disorders. These thoughts was until I did research on anxiety. I realised that the reason I had bias towards mental illness was because I watched many movies, read many books about how the murderer was a person with mental disorders. This caused many people including me to believe that people with mental illness are dangerous. Yet, I didn’t know that small actions like this might impact how people with anxiety would feel, it might make there symptoms worse. Something that surprised me is how anxiety and other illness could cause a great impact. some symptoms can be very dangerous for example, shortness of breath, hard to breath, also it might lead to thoughts of suicide.
In this group project, I think I did pretty well on the active learner criteria. I finished my part of work, but I think the quality could be improved. I was a skillful communicator and helped my partners when they needed to. I think one thing we could improve as a group is finish our work earlier to make sure there won’t be any last minutes mistakes. The reason why I said this is because after we checked our criteria, we realised that the limit was 7 min and we were over the limit. So we had to do some last minutes change that impacts our quality.

In science we learned about the meteorite and most of the science that is in the process, for example, friction, gravity, sound, light waves, and many others. during the our learning process we had a lot of different ways to learn. for example, 3 for 3s. In the 3 for 3s I think i could’ve done better if I asked more question for some parts I didn’t understand. Although I think in science unit 2 3 for 3s I done pretty well, yet because I didn’t ask questions or answer questions during class I didn’t master the 3 for 3s in unit one. One thing I could work on in the active learner criteria is to ask more questions, ask more questions.
In this unit, I learned a lot including the big eight category noun, verb, adjective, adverb, article, preposition, pronouns and conjunctions. We learned this by teaching a AI, pretending to be a alien and teaching them words and finally doing a interview so mr stanley can make sure we understand grammar.
I think I did pretty well in the interview whether it is on explaining subject-verb split, or explaining verb. one question I think I need to work on is answering the question what is the use of the different kind of sentences.
With my woop goal being more organized on my bag, room and my tasks. I think with this app, my homework would be organized and it will send me notification if my homework or projects are almost due.
I think that after 7-10 days of work, I could have a habit of at least using the app and doing my homework and not procrastinating. I think with this APP, I would have a habit of doing my homework everyday afterschool or at 9pm.

Functionality
This app is called myHomework. It contains callender similar to schoology where it will show the homeworks you uploaded on to this app. It can show you the due date and when you should start doing it. Also, it automatically provides you messages to remind you of your homework, depending on the level of importance it will provide you different amounts of notification.
Something i used most is the calendar since it is very useful on showing my due dates and when to do it also the notification was very useful since is will remind me when i forgot. One limitation is that there was premium provided for better use, but without premium is also works.
usefulness
This app provided me notification so I could remember to do my homework and other works so I could become organized. Also, it reminds me to not stay on my phone too much, instead use the time to organize my room or backpack. I think it was pretty useful, yet I think I didn’t grow a habit since I still depend on Myhomework notification instead of remembering my own.
Design
I think the background and the color and light blue is nice for it even provides tips to use the app. I think they earn money by encouraging people to buy the premium so sometimes they limit some sources for you though you can use it normally without premium. I think it lacks some parts since sometimes people may forget to submit there homework and over relying on Myhomework won’t be too good since there will be technical issues.
What we learned
In this unit, we learned about stress. This includes, amygdala, hippocampus, and the prefrontal-cortex. We learned how you will act under stress, like the FFF response which is fight flight and freeze. We learned some factors to recognize your under stress, for example, heart rating fast, sweaty hands, thinking very fastly.
Something that surprised me was that there was actually there were so many parts in our brain that plays a factor in stress. I actually never thought about how so many things are going on in our brain while we are under stress. After learning this unit, I learned how to control stress, and understand how to act and calm down stress.
In the project, me and my partner made a interview video. Something we did well on is I think we covered most of the topics we learned and showing our understanding. One thing that obviously needed improvement was the quality of the video, we could try recording it again. We also need to work on our time management, if we finished the script earlier we could add some visuals, making the video more entertaining.
a strategy after realizing that I’m under stress is box breathing or just breathing slowly in pace. I think if teens understanded there brains, it might prevent them from taking too much risk like trying to harm themselves, vaping, drinking while driving, etc.


For our probability fair we had a game similar to double or nothing. there are four challenges and as the challenges grow the prizes and difficulty grows. For our first challenge we have four pattern of aces and you pick you as the bomb, so you have a 75% chance of winning. For the second challenge it is the same thing but you pick a color for bomb. and for the third challenge you pick a pattern as the winning skit and you have a 25% of winning for the final challenge you pick any number in the deck except for joker, and you have a 1/13 chance of winning
In this project something i didn’t work well with my partners are the amount of prizes we buy, but we eventually did work on a meeting point.
I think we did pretty well on making this game fun, because we had a lot of people lining up for our game and our prizes were pretty worth for playing since we have a 75% of winning a prize. Something I would change is a better way of explaining our game since it took a lot of time, we should have printed more posters for rules.
the percentage was pretty accurate for all of them except percentage of winning at lv 4 this because we didn’t calculate for the first half and no one won for the first half this caused the percentage of winning 4 increase a lot.
In social studies we had a big project about a big event that we chose on our own. We not only had time to research, write script, but also time to make a movie. In this project it tested on our script writing skills, research skills, speaking skills, also skills on making imovie. During the research I improved my understanding hurricane Katrina, I learned the the devastating damage caused by this event’s factor had man-made mistake.
In this project I improved my skills on speaking fluently and clearly, also, I improved my skills and imovie editing skills. Something I could work on is wriing more detailed and with more information. If I could do this again I think I would add more videos in my movie and also maybe some transitions.
