SLC Reflection

How did the SLC Go?

The SLC went well, I talked for 30 minutes, which is more than what I expected. I explained every slide of mine like how I arranged, and it went pretty smooth.

Key Takeways

I learned about myself that I still have a lot of space for improvements, and I learned that I can do a presentation that is about a 30 minutes length.

Application for this year

I can apply to my learning by doing what I wrote in my SLC slides, like avoiding chitchats, side talks, and distractions. Also, I can participate actively in classes, like raising my hand actively in classes, and answer questions.

Plans for next year

My plan for next year that can help me improve my performance in academic will include avoiding chitchats, do not distract myself in class, pay attention to the teacher, and anwser questions.

Vision Board/Smart Goal Reflection

My smart goal on my vision board is improve my beep test score by at least 10 laps, and I cannot measure it yet because the next beep test is in spring. I believe that I have improved from last time, because I had run more daily and on the football field

I have encountered some challenges like my knee hurting oftenly that stops me from running, and not running definitely stops me from achieving my goal of running more. I had solved my knee problem by not playing football for about 2-3 weeks and let my muscles rest for a short time and eventually solved the problem.

Doing my vision board brought me some new insights like I actually did a lot of things that are related to football and running throughout the year, like playing a lot. Also, I realized that some of my teammates on my team can do a lot of more laps in Beep Test than me, so in the next game I observed them and found out that they run more than me on the field, which make sense that they scored better in Beep Test.

Some achievements that I am proud of are like watching professional Football games oftenly, like Premier League, CSL, and Champions League. The players for those games are some of the best players in the world, watching them play can improve my skills like to see how do they pass the ball and how does the team score a goal.

I do not really want to revise my goal of running 10 more laps in the Beep Test, because if I can run more in the beep test, it means that I can run more on the Football field and it can increase my performance on the field and the amount of time that I am on the field.

Some supports that I received while I am working on my goal are mostly from my parents and my Football coach. My parents supported my goal by bringing me out to run sometimes in the night, and also my football coach pointed out that there is something run with y running posture, like landing on the wrong part of my feet during a game, and changing the posture can really help me run faster.

Next step of working on my goal is to continue to run more and to play football more often and run more in each game or practice.

TTG Reflection Post

My Goal

I want to work on the TTG Critical Thinker more in Math and Science more, like developing more ideas about the same problem.

How would I work on my goal?

I can think more about the question, like more unique angles, consider more perspectives in Math questions. For example, for a question that we need to give examples in, I can think more than just objects like cube, but like a stack of poker cards and an apple. And also I hope that I explain my answer more clearly and linking it back to my process the the problem itself, which is something that I am now failing in. I also hope that during Science, I can link everything we learned in that class to another class, like if we are learning about genetic, I can try to connect it to our last unit that is about animal cells and plant cells. For example, we are currently working on DNA right now, and in the last unit we learned that DNA is stored in the Nucleus and contains the code to construct parts of the body, which we reviewed in this unit.
