CPR-A useful life saver

This is my CPR practice. I chose this because I feel like that this is very important skill that I might use later and I think it is cool. I learned the rate of pressing and how to press. I am proud of this because I can do this well and I feel it is going to come in use. What I might improve will be to press slower, if I can do it again.

Band-B flat scale and The Tempest

These are lately I do in band. I chose this because one I preformed good, and the other one was a great piece for playing, and our band played it well. I learned to count rests, name notes, and find when I need to cut in. I am proud of this because I preformed great on the scale and collaborated perfectly in the song. If I would do these again, I would have to focus the whole time and be careful to miss notes.

Mi presentaćion-about me

This is my Spanish presentation about me, with translation. I chose this because it is a great indicator of my Spanish skills, with everybody understanding. I learned to translate and learn when I am using it. I am proud of this because it was a very informational and good-looking PPT. If I would do this again, I might try to fix my grammar.

PE-Underhand serve

This is my P.E unit underhand serve score for volleyball. I chose this because I did well on this and found the way to improve. I learned to rotate my body and hit with the joints. If I were to do this again I might try not throwing the ball up that high to serve.

Math mock test-Preparing

This is my math mock quiz, and I selected this because I feel that this is a great indicator of how am I doing in math. The learning process includes learning to graph, and use partial quotient. I am proud because I found what I did wrong and corrected it fast. If I were to do it again, I would have did it faster and check my answer.

Character analysis-a deeper dive

This is my character analysis project for a book. I selected this piece of work because it has a high quality and is recent. The learning process includes using transitions and recognizing emotions and characteristics. I am proud of this because I got a good score, used great transitions, and logic is involved. If I would do this differently, I would try to improve my topic-leadership is not a trait! (But a collection of it.)

Crumple zones-Crash test

This is my crash test assignment. I selected this because this really took me time to think and study the relationships between the different variables. The learning process of this includes to find what is important, what is not, what should be rigid, and what should be soft. It is basically learning on design. I am proud of this because I had good results and a great amount of effort put in this, while I am cool with it. (I just like crash tests) If I could do this differently, I would try to not put everything so rigid first and waste my time for trying again and again.

Campaign for the Olympics-Switzerland

These are some slides from my campaign for the Olympics. I selected this piece because it was my first try to present without paper.

The learning process includes speaking, learning about Bern, and many other things.

I am proud of my design and transitions, and the words had been carefully chosen, so I am proud of that too.

If I did this again, I might change my other content page designs into something more simple and use my tone to present.

Welcome to Your New Portfolio!

Why have a digital portfolio at SAS?

Creating a portfolio, or blog is a great way to collect all the work you’ve done throughout your academic career. You can include academic, athletic, and personal artifacts or experiences that you want to share with a wider audience. This is a great way to organize all your learning in one place and you can take it with you when you leave SAS.  When you make your portfolio, you create posts that are categorized according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you, but if you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category. Think of this as the first opportunity to engage and hook your reader!
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This should include a combination of text and media in the form of images, graphics, and embedded videos. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging and organized? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
  • Tags – create tags that can be used as keywords to describe your post. Tags help organize your post a little more! Aim to have 3-5 tags for each post. For example, if you are posting about a novel you wrote, you might want the following tags: #Fiction, #MurderMystery, #Theme, #PlotDiagram
