Creative Learner:

Task 8: Travel Brochure

Task 19: AI Self Portrait

Creating a travel brochure for my dream destination Hawaii showcased a blend of skills I could use in the future. Research played a pivotal role in this project, as I searched online to uncover facts and information about Hawaii, enhancing the brochure’s content. During the designing process, I used my creativity to make it look aesthetic and appealing. I can use these skills in later years when I am doing a research project or designing a poster. This taught me the importance of visual presentation in capturing audience interest. The experience of creating the Hawaii travel brochure exceeds its obvious purpose, laying a foundation for future projects. The research proficiency gained can be applied to future projects, ensuring thoroughness and accuracy in identifying credible sources. Similarly, the design skills utilized during this project can be used in making compelling posters, presentations, or other visual materials. Ultimately, the skills demonstrated during the creation of the travel brochure for Hawaii have not only made a great personal project but have also equipped me with valuable tools for future academic, professional, and creative pursuits.

Critical Thinker:

Task 3: Ethical Dilemma

Task 9: How Could? Drawing Obscure Solutions

Analyzing the trolley problem by weighing the pros and cons of each side demonstrates critical thinking and decision-making skills that are valuable in various contexts, including essay writing and public speaking. The trolley problem challenges us to consider morals, evaluate potential outcomes, and justify our decisions, all of which require careful thought and reasoning. By engaging in this process, I used my ability to break down complex situations, assess the impacts of different choices, and construct logical arguments. When writing essays, these skills are crucial for developing clear, persuasive, and well supported arguments. For instance, analyzing a topic involves considering opposing viewpoints, just as I did with the trolley problem. This ensures that my essays are balanced and demonstrate an understanding of different perspectives, which strengthens their credibility. Similarly, when giving speeches, the ability to pre-empt counterarguments and address them effectively enhances my ability to connect with the audience and present persuasive points. Furthermore, the process of evaluating pros and cons encourages a structured approach to problem-solving. This skill translates well into organizing ideas coherently, whether in written or spoken formats. Overall, the analytical thinking I practiced with the trolley problem will serve as a strong foundation for future academic communication tasks.

Resilience:

Task 14: Vision Board

Task 18: VIA Character Strengths

In the VIA Character Strengths quiz, I discovered that honesty, time management, and hope were the three components I prioritized the least. This realization was fundamental, as it highlighted areas where I could grow and improve. By identifying these areas, I now have a clearer sense of what I need to work on to become a more well-rounded individual. To improve my honesty, I will focus on being more truthful with myself and others. This includes expressing my thoughts and feelings openly, even in situations where it may feel uncomfortable, while maintaining kindness and respect. Building trust through honesty will strengthen my relationships and help me feel more authentic. For time management, I plan to create a structured schedule and prioritize tasks using tools like planners or apps. Breaking larger tasks into smaller, manageable steps and setting realistic deadlines will help me stay organized and make better use of my time. This will reduce procrastination and improve my productivity. Lastly, to feel a sense of hope, I will set achievable goals and focus on positive outcomes. Surrounding myself with supportive friends and family and practicing gratitude will help me maintain optimism, even during challenging times. By working on these attributes, I aim to grow into a better version of myself.

Skillful Communicator:

Task 4: Presentation

Task 15: Celebrity AI

Practicing my presentation skills and maintaining composure while speaking to an audience will benefit me in future presentations and speeches. Effective communication is about more than just delivering information; it requires confidence, clarity, and the ability to engage with an audience. Through this practice, I learned how to organize my thoughts, articulate my ideas clearly, and maintain a calm demeanor even in high-pressure situations. These are essential skills that I can apply across various settings, particularly in my classes. When delivering a presentation, staying composed allows me to focus on my message rather than distractions or being anxious. This ensures that my delivery is smooth and professional, which helps me captivate the audience and gain their attention. Additionally, practicing these skills has taught me how to manage nervousness, use body language effectively, and adjust my tone and pace to convey my ideas more persuasively. In my future classes, whether I’m presenting a project, giving a speech, or participating in a group discussion, I can draw on this experience to communicate more confidently and effectively. By combining strong presenting skills with a composed mindset, I can ensure that my message is clear, impactful, and memorable, helping me succeed in academic settings.

Effective Collaborator:

Task 5: ES Music Assistant

Task 7: Peter Pappas Murder Mystery

Task 8: Zoom Images

Task 10: Analyze Cover

Being part of the music club “A Lunar,” which focuses on teaching children in impoverished areas how to sing or play the recorder, has been a deeply meaningful experience for me. As a teacher, I had the opportunity to lead two lessons, one focused on singing and the other on playing the recorder. These sessions were not only about teaching music but also about creating a space where the children could explore interests, build confidence, and find joy in learning. This experience was incredibly valuable because it allowed me to connect with the children in a way that went beyond traditional academic teaching. Music became a universal language that broke barriers and brought smiles to their faces. I learned how to communicate effectively, adapting my teaching style to suit their needs and ensuring that each child felt included and capable. Patience and encouragement were key, as many of them were learning these skills for the first time. Additionally, this experience showed me the power of giving back to the community and how small efforts can make a big impact. Watching the children’s progress and excitement as they sang or played their first notes was incredibly rewarding. It reinforced my belief in the importance of using my skills to help others.

Runaway Trolley- Ethical Dilemma đźš‹

Pull the lever:
PRO: you save 5 people and result in the least people dead
CON: you result in the death of 1 person and directly caused the death of them

Leave it alone:
PRO: you did not directly result in the death of the people and save 1 person
CON: you result in the death of 5 people

My opinion is that ethically it is always right to save the 5 people because there are more families affected by it.

Celebrity Version of Text from AI đź—Ł

Original Text (Shakespeare):

That can I,
At least, the whisper goes so: our last king,
Whose image even but now appeared to us,
Was, as you know, by Fortinbras of Norway,
Thereto pricked on by a most emulate pride,
Dared to the combat, in which our valiant Hamlet –
For so this side of our known world esteemed him –
Did slay this Fortinbras, who by a sealed compact,
Well ratified by law and heraldry,
Did forfeit, with his life, all those his lands
Which he stood seized on to the conqueror:
Against the which, a moiety competent
Was gagèd by our king, which had returned
To the inheritance of Fortinbras,
Had he been vanquisher, as, by the same cov’nant,
And carriage of the article designed,
His fell to Hamlet. Now, sir, young Fortinbras,
Of unimprovèd mettle hot and full,
Hath in the skirts of Norway here and there
Sharked up a list of landless resolutes
For food and diet to some enterprise
That hath a stomach in’t, which is no other –
And it doth well appear unto our state –
But to recover of us, by strong hand
And terms compulsative, those foresaid lands
So by his father lost: and this, I take it,
Is the main motive of our preparations,
The source of this our watch and the chief head
Of this post-haste and rummage in the land.

New text (Taylor Swift):

You know, it’s like this whispered tale,
About our last king, who just showed his face,
Caught in the shadows of Fortinbras from Norway,
Driven by pride, fierce and bold,
He stepped up to fight, where our brave Hamlet stood,
The one we all believed in, right here in our world.

Hamlet took down Fortinbras, sealed his fate,
In a pact that was written, and signed with grace.
Fortinbras lost everything he held so tight,
And now, with that loss, we’re feeling the bite.
Young Fortinbras, with fire in his veins,
Gathering the lost souls, ready to stake claims,

He’s searching for land, a fierce mission ahead,
To reclaim what was lost, it’s all in his head.
So here we are, preparing for what’s to come,
This urgency we feel, it’s like a beating drum.
It’s the heart of our watch, the reason we stand,
As a storm brews up, it’s time to take a stand.
