Creative Learner

Creating an AI self-portrait was a fun and interesting experience. I loved how technology could turn my ideas into a picture of myself. As I picked colors and styles that I liked, it made me think about who I really am.

Seeing how the AI interpreted my choices surprised me. It showed me things about myself that I hadn’t really noticed before. This made me reflect on how I show myself to others.

I realized that while the portrait was made by a machine, it still represented me in a unique way. This experience helped me appreciate how technology can work with personal expression. Overall, it was a cool mix of creativity and innovation.

Critical thinker

For critical thinker, I had made a world with only 20 words and made a paragraph about it. It made me think carefully about what really mattered. Each word had to count, showing big ideas and feelings in a simple way. This exercise taught me how to write clearly and creatively while staying focused. It was surprising to see how much I could express with so few words. I learned that sometimes, saying less can be more powerful. This experience will help me in future writing, as I aim to keep things simple but meaningful. Overall, it was a great way to explore the art of storytelling.

Resilience

Eating a salmon bagel mindfully was a delightful experience. As I took my first bite, I focused on the flavors and textures—the creaminess of the cheese, the richness of the salmon, and the crunch of the bagel. I slowed down, savoring each mouthful, which made the meal more enjoyable and satisfying. This practice of mindfulness helped me appreciate the food not just as fuel, but as a sensory experience.

In addition to mindful eating, I embraced mindful walks. During these walks, I paid attention to my surroundings—the rustling leaves, the chirping birds, and the feeling of the ground beneath my feet. This awareness brought a sense of calm and connection to nature, enhancing my overall well-being.

After completing a survey that revealed my strength as love, I created a mind map to visualize its many aspects. I explored how love manifests in my life—through relationships, compassion, and acts of kindness. This creative process helped me understand the importance of love in my daily interactions and how it shapes my identity. Overall, these mindful practices and reflections have deepened my appreciation for life’s simple joys and the connections that enrich my experiences.

Skillful Communicator

Creating a guide on how to use Snapchat was an engaging and informative project. I aimed to break down the app’s features in a clear, user-friendly way. By thinking from the perspective of a new user, I identified common challenges and questions. I structured the guide step by step, covering everything from setting up an account to using filters and sending snaps. This process not only reinforced my understanding of the app but also honed my ability to communicate complex information simply. I felt a sense of accomplishment knowing my guide could help others navigate this popular platform.

In addition to the guide, I wrote a story about kindness. This narrative allowed me to explore the theme deeply, showcasing the impact of small acts of generosity in everyday life. I crafted relatable characters and situations that highlighted how kindness can ripple through a community. Writing this story was a fulfilling experience, as it reminded me of the importance of empathy and compassion in our interactions.

Effective Collaborator

I listened and analysed a cover song of Three Hours by Nick Drake’s cover of “Three Hours” is a beautiful and emotional version of the original song. In this rendition, Drake’s gentle voice and fingerpicking guitar create a haunting atmosphere that draws listeners in. The song talks about feelings of longing and how quickly time passes, which many people can relate to.

Drake’s relaxed style makes the lyrics feel personal and intimate, as if he’s sharing his own thoughts with us. The simplicity of the music lets the message shine through, reminding us of moments we cherish and the sadness of losing them.

Overall, “Three Hours” captures the bittersweet nature of life and love, making it a memorable part of Drake’s music. It’s a song that stays with you, inviting you to reflect on your own experiences with time and relationships.

Extra Cirriculars

I am a professional driver outside of the school, I started in 2020 with my professional coach and team mates. So far I have been to Beijing, Zhuhai, Guangdong, Macao. Now, I practice every week in Shanghai on Sundays and Saturdays and I am now top 20 drivers in China.

Science Project

Throughout the science project, me and my partner Andy Zhou have been working on the design of the car. We have now been going online looking for designs of drag cars and so far we’ve found out that drag cars, essentially need a big engine with big power, skinny wheels at the front, and a body with a higher rear and slimmer front.

Makerspace project

This project was fun and relaxing, it was however my first time using inkscape so it was harder to do laser cutting. However it was better in the end with more assistance. I guess this project reflects on skillful communicator and also effective collaborator and I also learnt how to use a silhouette to use laser cutting to create a 10×10 square with my silhouette on it

Think about if using AI is the right thing to do before using it 👍

Before using AI, I want to think if using AI is the right thing to do and if it affects others. Instead of taking what AI produces and claiming it as mine, I could write my own things and ask AI for some advice and improvements instead of asking it to do my work and claiming it’s work as mine. I will talk to my teachers about my use of AI to keep eme on track and the way I will do so is by telling teachers my use of AI every week

Compromising Ideas 🤓👍

Sometimes when people have differnet ideas, we can think about sharing those ideas and also we should think about combining those ideas. That way people don’t have to argue about how their ideas should be chosen and that way both people could have an agreement and not argue.

What I wish I knew about Middle School👍

I wish I knew a lot about middle school for example, how to take control of my time, how to study etc…. Most importantly TIME MANAGEMENT. I always had some trouble with prioritizing my work and was too lazy to organize everything.

So what happened was I was procrastinated, getting overdues, pretty much the whole lot. I didn’t have time to study for a test because I was too busy turning in the work in for the next day. Sometimes I even let my teamates down in projects, things, I showed a bad reputation for my teachers. Then came covid, it was my time to shine. I worked at home, it was an absolute nightmare. Not keeping in contact with my classmates and friends. It was the worst of all time

I really wished I learned how to manage my time. But now it’s high school and I still think I have just the time to use and learn how to manage my time. Probably in the future I can use some kind of app to track my time and also sit down and talk with my friends.

FINISHING STRONG

What will your table look like: My table will be filled with pictures of me and my partner customizing the shoes and also ipads, documenting our original blueprints/designs of our shoes with the real shoes that we customized next to them

How will you share your PP project with others: By showcasing our shoes.

What do you need to fi ish in the next week: We need to finish customizing our shoes within the next week so we are able to showcase our shoes before the day we need to present

What do i need to modify/change from my original plan: We need to start working and follow our own action plan in order to finish.

How realistic: Somewhat realistic.

3/7/23 Passion Project

My feather was that I was able to finish some of the potential designs we have.

But my rock was that we weren’t able to get all the information about the what the teachers wanted on the shoes.
