What did I do
I played badminton with partners and played tournements.
What did I learn
I learned how to receive shots better.
What worked
I could serve a good serve into the opponents court.
Personal relevance
I like to play badminton so it helped.

What Did I Learn About Dystopian Fiction
I learned that in dystopian fiction stories, there will be disturbing facts that will make us think if the world we live in now is a dystopian world.
How does dystopian fiction encourage me to think about real life?
The stories encourage me to think about real life because the things that the story mentions are disturbing and lead to me thinking about how we do things in real life.
I enjoyed the giver because it led to me rethinking many of the topics I thought was good or bad for people in the society we live in.
How has my ability to write academic paragraphs improved?
I got all meetings for my academic paragraph common lit assignments, and I feel more comfortable writing academic paragraphs.
How have I become better at literature discussions?
I can make sure that I can be validating other’s pints while also giving polite disagreements if needed and I can be a good listener and take in everybody’s points.
What did we learn?
I leaned the hand signals of snorkalling
What did I do well?
I could swim and perform the giant stride and beach entry
What do I need to improve on
I need to hold my breath more.
What helped?
The guidance the teachers gave me and the positive feedback from peers.
What did I do?
I made an egg car that could slide down from a ramp and protect the egg inside.
What did I learn?
I learned that in a car the third law of Newton and the first law of Newton are both seen in the egg car experiment because when the car hits the brick wall, the brick wall hits back on the car with equal but opposite force and the egg still wants to keep moving because I was previously in motion so it tends to stay in motion but the force of the overhead canopy stoped the egg from flying out.
What worked?
My partner and I made sure that the egg car met all the constraints and met our expectation of what the egg car should look like. I made sure that the egg car will not flip over by adding a stopper in the front of the car and added a canopy to shield the egg from flying out.
What did not work?
I think that we could make our car better by adding more stability to the wheels and make sure that the car wasn’t too long or too short.
Personal Relevance
I now know that for the people in a car it is crucial to have a seatbelt on at all times because if you crash, your body tends to keep flying forward, so you might break the windshield and fly onto the streets, and airbags keep you safe from slamming your head into the steering wheel.
What did I do?
Me and my partner made a balloon car that couldn’t have the weights strapped to them and we used cardboard to make the car body and wheels for the wheels and the balloon for the applied force.

What did I learn?
I learned the Newton’s laws , the first law is an object in motion will tend to stay in motion and a object at rest will tend to stay at rest unless acted on by another force, the second law is F=MA the force equals to the mass of the object that is moving multiplied by the acceleration of the object, the third law states that every motion has an equal but opposite reaction. These applied to the balloon car because the balloon will give force to push the balloon car across the room.
What worked?
Me and my partner collaborated well and made a successfully ballon car journey across the room. Also, ma and my partner had good ideas about how to make the balloon car go.
What did not work?
We didn’t manage to make the car go as far as we wanted it to. Also we couldn’t make the balloon survive the continuous inflations.
Personal Relevance
I felt like this really matter a lot to me because I realized how important a seatbelt is to us in real life.
The reason why puberty is important for us to learn about because the we will not get scared when our body goes through changes.
I feel like I am the most confident about height growth because I have grown a lot since the last year.
I feel uncomfortable of the mood swings because I don’t want to rage on people at all times.
I can see if the source is .org or .com and if it is a government app or like a random app trying to trick us.
I want to improve more on making the things I write more specific.
What are we doing?
Writing a fictional story based on a theme that matters to me.
What are we learning?
Theme (my purpose for writing this story, my message to readers)
Character Development (creating believable characters with positive & negative traits)
Plot (the sequence of events in my story; Western and Eastern approaches to storytelling)
Setting (the world that I create for my story)
What’s working?
I really liked developing my character and giving them the good traits and the bad traits, I feel like making characters is really fun because you don’t really get to choose what a person is like in real life, so creative writing for me is a place where I can really use my imagination and make up a character that is meaningful to the of my story and see him struggle through the challenges that I put on the table for him. I got the idea of the story because I really like history,I think it is fascinating how human can grow from using stone tools to having AI and nearly destroying the earth, another aspect of why I chose the Iraqi war as the setting of the the story was that I felt like I didn’t really write a lot about this time period a lot and because STP also fought in the war so I decided that I might try and write a story about it.
Areas for more growth
The story elements that were harder to write were the theme and the plot points because they really took me a long time to think about. I just spent time thinking about the plot points and how to develop them.
Personal Relevance
I think that creative writing really is a way for me to express how I am feeling about the world how what people are doing right and what they are doing wrong, but since nobody is completely right or wrong, creative writing is a place were you can judge their wrong doings and praise what they are doing out of kindness.
What did I do?
I played with indi robot cars and gravitrax to strengthen my critical thinking skills by figuring out how to make the marble or the indi to reach its destination.
What did I learn?
Critical thinking is thinking critically to solve problems when we meet them.
What worked?

I thought I critically thought when I problem solved by kept raising the heights to make the rail fit for the gravitrax and also make sure the indi reaches its destination with the colors.
What did not work
I struggled when I couldn’t make sure the indi stayed onto the colors and make sure that it stayed on track, or when I struggled to make sure that the ball won’t have too much power to that it falls off the track but at the same time it won’t have too little power so that it won’t go.
Personal Relevance
This activity was useful for me because it helped me with my problem solving skills and make my life easier for the future.
