I want improve my Creative Learner skills, and my goal is to think more flexibly and create original work. In art, during creation time, I will try and create work inspired from my own imagination and think about how I can express my work more originally. In Health, I already achieved my goals because I created my posters, infographic and group project with original expression of the work and imagination.

The task for visual creation is to create a piece of visual art that can represent the positive and negative impacts of the printing press. I chose to create a model of the printing press, and a collage. I chose this combination because the printing press model is for the audience member to better see how a printing press looks like, and the collage represents the negative and positive impacts of the printing press. One thing that I did well was making the model, because I maximized my lesson time and shown the positive and negative impacts. Something that I can improve on can be creating how the printing press will look in the end. Because I built the model based on other models I saw, but produced a printing press that looks very different from the example models, and I wasn’t expecting it to look to different. It is important to create a final design because then I know the guidelines of building it.
In this unit, we researched about a form of chosen transportation or communication technologies, and created a visual creation representing it’s positive and negative impact.

To complete my essay, we first generated ideas about different transportation and communication technologies. We did several activities like writing down as many transportation and communication technology on the paper, then looking at what others wrote. We also did individual research to decide which communication or transportation we wanted to do. I chose printing press, a form of communication. Then we did research on the chosen technology to fill in the graphic organizer. Graphic organizer is used to organize our ideas into different sections using our own words, so it will be easier when we write our essay. For the research part, we need to choose and print out 3 articles to annotate. We learned how to annotate articles in class, so it is easier when it comes to annotating our chosen article. Then based on the information I collected in our research and graphic organizer, I organized them into the essay. The first paragraph is about the positive impact of the printing press, the second is about the negative impact and the third paragraph is about how people fixed the negative impacts. After I wrote the three main paragraphs, I wrote the introduction and conclusion. Then after I written the whole essay, I handed it in to the teacher for feedback. The feedback I got was mainly on citations. Then according to the feedback, I edited my essay, then submitted it.
Something that I did well in my essay is organizing my ideas into paragraphs, and being able to write a strong reasoning. One thing that I still need to improve is citations format, because I sometimes miss full stops or misplace them.
In this unit, we how to calculate percentage of an amount, percent change and calculate tax and tip.

Something I understood in this unit was how to calculate tax and tip for an amount of money. Some new information I learnt was how to use a tape diagram. Something interesting in this unit was learning about taxes and tip in different countries. Something tricky for me in this unit was calculating percentage change, especially percent change in increase.
In unit 2, we learnt about 11 body systems and their functions, and cell organelle parts, also their functions.

The essential question I choose for this unit is “What happens inside our bodies when we get sick? The disease I choose is Leukemia. In class, I learnt about the nucleus and mitochondria, and their functions. Nucleus is used to control the cell activity and stores DNA. Mitochondria is used to produce energy. I also research about three specific body system, circulatory, skeletal and immune system. In Leukemia, the circulatory system is affected the most because Leukemia causes anemia. Leukemia also affects the skeletal system because the bone marrow fails produces white blood cells, which leads to easier bone fracture. It also affects the immune system because the bone marrow produces too much abnormal white blood cells. The body is a system made out subsystems because our body system have separate different functions and jobs to perform. And in each body system, there are different organs that has different functions, and the organs are made out of tissues, which are made out of groups of cells.
Some most memorable activities in class are watching videos and doing dissections. I am a visual and hands on learner, and these activity reflects the type of learner I am because the dissection is a hands on learning experience, and the video is a visual learning experience. These helped me learn the most in the unit, because the dissection helped me see better the heart’s structure, and the video got me thinking about the disease essential thinking.
Some improvements I would want to make is checking the rubric more carefully. Sometimes I might misread instructions and the success criteria, so I did the task not really following the rubric. It is important to check the rubric because you can think about goals that you might want to set, or try to do your best. It could enhance my learning because it will be easier to set goals and reach goals, and reach for exceeding.
In this unit in Health, we learnt about healthy decision making under pressured circumstances, using the DECIDE model.

DECIDE Model is a model that can help us do the right thing under pressured circumstances. D, is define the problem, which can let people think about what the problem really is. E, is explore the options, which we think about what options we have. C, is consider the consequences, which we can think about the consequences of each option we explores. I, is identify your values, which will help you better decide what value will be more important for decision making. D, is decide what to do which you will decide on the final decision based on the analysis before. Finally, E is evaluate your decision, which is thinking about the actual consequence after you made the decision.
Effects of Different Substances
During the presentations, we learnt about consequences of different substances, such as nicotine pouches. Some consequences are people might feel more depressed, could kill a person and get a person addicted to it. Refillable vapes have consequences such as sever brain damage, cause cancer, hard time breathing, addicted to vapes, popcorn lungs and risks of stroke. Prescription pain killers can have consequences like getting addicted, not able to sleep, feel dizzy and alter brain. Cigarette have consequences like cleft lip, cancer, heart disease and strokes. Vaping pen have consequences like addiction, lung problems, DNA problems and feel uncomfortable often.
In Unit 2, we learnt about scale drawings and proportionality, which could be used in planning out buildings or designing objects.

Something I understood in this unit is how to find the scale factor using different ways. Some new information I learnt is how to calculate the area using the scale factor. Something interesting in this unit is using the amplify activity to understand better scale drawings. Something tricky in this unit is calculating the scale factor using the area.
In this unit, we learnt about how to play soccer. We did activities like mini games, shooting training and handball games. The handball game helped us improve our spacial awareness, so we can find open spaces and our teammates can pass us the ball. At first, we stay clustered in a group, so when our teammates get the ball, they could not pass to a person without the possibility of being intersected. After the game, we can space our selves into open spaces to catch the ball. Something I can improve on more is shooting into the goal more accurately
In unit 2, we learnt about artistic swimming. At first, I don’t know how to do any skills, then after a few lessons, I learnt how to do skulling, egg beater and oyster. At the end of the unit, my group put together a swimming routine. Apart from learning skills, I trusted other people more to work with me. I could still improve on my oyster skills, since I always sink a bit too much.
In health, we learnt about how social media and influencers can impact on our health. For example, influencers often claim false heath claims for popularity or influence people to live their way.
Way To Identify False Health Information
I used to think that most things on social media are believable if the comments about the product is positive, the influencer is popular, and it is some what a personal experience, it is believable. And I often believe false heath claims or “miracle treatments” that can benefit my health and appearance. But now I think that most people on social media without a degree and evidence claiming health claims are dangerous. Even though they might be sharing some personal experience with the product about how it actually worked, the product might still be dangerous to use without any evidence proving it is not dangerous. Now I am more conscious of what I am believing, after learning how to identify if a health claim is true, using CRAAP test. The steps of CRAAP test are currency, identifying the when the health advice is posted, to help us think if the post is out dated. Some outdated health advice are proven not beneficial to health by science. The next step is relevance. Relevance is about if the content is related to our research, and the content’s target audience. This step could help us identify if we need the information in the content. Then, we identify the accuracy. Accuracy is about if the content in the article is true of not. At this step, we could conduct research to check if the information is believable. If there is research provided in the article, we could fact check it to check if it was true or outdated. Authority is checking if the influencer have valid credentials to talk about health. This step can help us by not believing any false heath claims the influencer claim. Finally, purpose. Purpose can help us identify what the influencer is trying to get us do. If the influence is trying to sell us something, we will need to more careful with the content in the article. Below is my final project CRAAP test I did on a health influencer.

Example of an Activity That Influenced My Thinking the Most
The activity that influenced my thinking the most is the L2 Wellness Influencer Analysis. It influenced my thinking the most because I get to really analyze an influencer claim. This activity really got me to think will I actually do this when I am scrolling, and how easily I will believe what the health influencer says if I did not do this analyze.

How Will I Approach Health Influencer In The Future?
When I see health influencers claiming health claims, I will use CRAAP test to determine if the health claim is valid or not. I will also be more conscious of misleading health claims while scrolling. I will not blindly believe contents on social media onward.
