Formative assignment1 reflection (Literary Elements)

What are you proud of?

I am proud of understanding the meaning of dynamic, flat, round, and static characters. I got one wrong in the multiple choice, but I understand the concept of it.

What are some challenges for you

All the CER were wrong, like the opposite of what should happen. I did not even know what was mirrors and windows just THAT MOMENT. I forgot about it! I could have done better if I focused more and reviewed more.

If you redo the assessment, what changes would you make?

I would focus more on reviewing because I knew what was mirror and windows in the night before but I totally forgot about it when I started the test. I should have done more study and review more.

What will you do between now and the next formative to ensure your next standards?

I will ask questions to my teacher about the things I a confused with and will use the AI to help me learn if the teacher is busy. I think it does not VPN because if it does, I can’t use it at home.

What advice would you give yourself moving forward?

That to be brave about asking question and don’t be embarrassed about it. Use what the teacher recommend and keep trying.

Summative compared to Formative?

In formatives, I did not really practiced at home and just did without real knowledge, but in Summative I knew I had to do better because all the grades in Formatives were bad and I really get cooked by my mom if I did not improve. So I started to really work hard and started to practice.

What are you proud of?

In this unit, I am actually not proud of me, there was no improvement after Unit one. But I still tried and did all the recommendation from the teacher, like the bot. At least I tried.

Steps I went through

Yeah, I made a Stop motion for this unit. When I chose the topic Video games, stop motion was originally my plan. I made stop motions before with both lego and paper, but this time I wanted to try something different. So I ended up by drawing every pages for my stop motion. I first planned my steps through Canva and then went to work, by using the app called FlipaClip.

What I aced on

I aced on finishing this on time and finishing with a not bad quality. My. Tyner said he can see the hard work and this proves that I did not waste any time but worked hard on my stop motion in order to finish it. I also did a good job on drawing I think.

What I need to work on

Even though I finished it on time, I think I use too much time one this. I did not went to sleep until 11 o’clock in order to finish this and I think that is toooo late for people my age. So I think I did a good job on finishing it but that I used too much time for it.

Steps I went through

The media I chose was Video games, so this essay was about the positive, negative impacts of video games and the solutions to the negative parts. I first started with a research organizers, researching about video games. After I finished the organizer, I moved all of the information into my essay.

What I aced on

In this project, I did well on using great evidence and on research. Even though I play a lot of video games, I don’t really know a lot about it. So I research through google and on different sites and used the best of the best impacts on each sides.

What I need to work on

One of the feedback by Mr. Tyner was about adding information that was not that important. This is mentioned in EVERY comment and that comment was really helpful to me because I learned what my weakness is in writing. Even though it was challenging, I fixed most of the errors and got a good grade. 🙂

Unit 3 summary

U: I understand the basic information of percentage and proportionality and understand how to use the skills I know in real life situations

N: New information I learned is that we can use these skills in real life, like shopping and banking.

I: I am interested in the real life situations like shopping with percent changes

T: Maybe the calculation we had to do, but there was not much of trouble in this unit.

Unit 2: Cells and Human Body system

Essential Question

How do our body system works together when we play our favorite sports?

What did I learn?

In this unit, we learned about body systems and about plant and animal cells. I chose the essential question of “How do our body system works together when we play our favorite sports?” I chose this essential question because I wanted to learn more about how body systems works with sports, and I chose volleyball.

Best learning experience?

I think for me, the best learning experience is either Models or videos because we know what something looks like and know the specific place of what we are learning about.

Improvement?

I want to improve on CER writing. According to the feedback from Ms Rynes, I had to improve on my evidence and reasoning, that I need to choose better and more efficient evidence for my claim and explain clearer in the reasoning part.

Unit 1: Clock project

What did I learn?

I learned how to design better designs with Inkscape and how to use glue in real life situation. I learned how to use different kinds of materials and how to assemble a clock

What was difficult?

the time was difficult, like managing the time. It was hard to due it in time and use different materials with a good design.

What would I do if I can do it again?

I would use time wisely and try to finish it in time. and try to make a better design than my original clock.

Unit 2: Racecar

December 12, 2025 /

What did I learn?

I learned how to use Onshape to use creative ideas an dhow to make complex shapes. I learned that 3d printing is just for complex shapes and Laser cut is for simple shapes

What was difficult?

There was no challenges throughout this unit, but I think maybe mesuring everything was just wasting time.

What would I do if I can do it again?

I would try to make a better design to make my car cooler 🙂

Math Unit 2: Proportionality and Scale Drawings

What did you learn?

I learned that Proportional shapes are actually really important in life and was kind of more complex than what I thought. I learned how to calculate proportional shapes, scale factor, COP, and more

What was difficult for you?

Something that was hard for me was complex calculation through proportional shapes. Without a calculator, it was hard for me to calculate with real accuracy

What are you proud of?

I am proud that I know 100% how to calculate the SF or COP through proportional shapes. I know what I am doing and most of the time I am not lost.

Swimming and Soccer reflection

What did I learn?

I learned how to float better and how to perform an artistic swimming. I learn we need to use our core to float and breath in more air.

In soccer I learned how to dribble better and how to shoot with accuracy.
