Social Studies Unit 2 Visual Presentation

For my visual presentation, I chose stop motion film as my format of the presentation because first, I have never done something like that before and second, I wanted to challenge myself since I am not that good at drawing. I drew every frame hand by hand using an app called FlipaClip on my iPad. I followed my script which I created before hand and tried to pair up every single sentence and word with the animation I have done on FlipaClip. Finally, in the presentation, the stop motion paired up with everything I said and I think I was pretty successful.

I think I did well on drawing my stop motion since in my opinion it was really fun to look at because of the stickman I created in it called Bob. He experienced the revolution of vehicle, this allows the audiences pay attention to a tangible character which will let them be more focused.

I think I still can improve on my script since I couldn’t spend much time on it. I finished the whole thing in last second and didn’t have much time to proof-watch my whole presentation. There were definitely lots of errors and rooms of improvements. If I can do it again, I would spend less time on drawing unlike how I drew 1300 frames I did in the previous time and spend the time saved into proof-watching to make the whole presentation more attractive and fun to watch to the audiences.

Social Studies Unit 2: Essay

In unit 2 when I was writing my essay, I first went through the searching process when I gathered my reading materials, I highlighted the important materials that I would want to put in my graphic organizers. After I gathered enough information to be able to fill out my graphic organizers in the three articles I chose to analyze, I put them into an essay.

I think the researching process when I was preparing for the essay was quite successful since I finished the whole thing within a short period of time.

I feel like I could do better on writing the essay since I sometimes struggle to find the correct words and phrases to describe what I want to write. This makes my essay not really fun to read.

Language Arts Unit 2 Reflection

Those are my CERER paragraphs and my outline in schoology.

I got one exceeding and three meetings in my CERER, that was a major improvement from my formative where I got one meeting and three approaching.

For my pitch presentation, I think I did quite well since I didn’t have much time preparing my presentation and note cards since the outline took me a significant amount of time. The result came out quite well and I am right now really confident for my presentation skill.

I felt like figuring out the appropriate evidence for my CERER was quite a challenge for me since there are not a lot of evidence in the story Harrison Bergeron.

I feel like the feedback from the teacher helped me a lot since I started practicing more and then I improved on my summative.

If I could redo the summative assessment, I would definitely spend a lot more time practicing my presentation and enhancing my outline since I couldn’t really prepare enough.

In Unit 3, I will try spending more time on practicing instead of just enhancing. I feel like practicing is more helpful for me.

Unit 2: Cells and Human Body System

My essential question was how do our body systems work together when we are playing our favorite sports?

I made my own model about the nerve and muscular cells using yellow, blue, and brown clay. I also wrote a CER paragraph about how different body systems work together. I stuffed my model and the CER paragraph into the blind box I built.

I then introduced my CER and my cell models to my partner who is Patrick.

I learned a lot about body systems and organelles this unit such as the function of nucleus, cell wall, and mitochondria.

Unit 3 Reflection

I learned how to calculate percentages, tax, tips, and interests from the bank. The new information I gathered are that simple interests are interests that are normally used in school, since they do not add on to the additional amount so it is way easier to calculate. I felt tax and tips are really interesting since I always learn to deal with these in my real world when buying stuff in shops and restaurants. I felt simple interest can be really tricky since I normally have to convert the percentages to decimals and can miss some zeroes which make my answer way off.

DT Clock unit Reflection

In the clock unit, we designed a clock that meets the specification of our client. My client was Ms.Miller. She told me to build a brain clock that is pink using the material of wood and acrylic for the clock. I made up my own specifications by typing in what design principles I want to do and how big I want the clock to be.

I searched up brain clock to find some inspirations about my clock. I decided to build a brain on top of a circular base. Then I started ideating, I drew node in my inkscape to build my clock and laser print it.

Math Unit 2: Proportionality and Scale Drawings

What did I learn?

I learned how to define scaled drawings and use these concepts to solve real-life problems. I also learned about how I can use proportionality to solve problems.

How did I do?

I think I did pretty well on completing this unit, since I am quite good at identifying whether one is scaled copy of another shape or not and calculate the scale factor using the concept of proportionality.

How can I improve?

I think I can improve by get better at drawing a proportional graph to make it more obvious that I understand the concepts.

ELA unit 2 formative #2 (CERER dystopian characteristics)

November 24, 2025 /

I am proud that I made a large improvement from last time where I did the CERER paragraph with the language arts bot, since this time there was no bot assisting me on writing this paragraph. I followed most of the rubrics except for the conventions parts. I think I did really well on choosing and citing my evidence which I got a 3 on.

The reasoning and conventions were quite challenging. For the reasoning, I think I only have one point that I have to mainly talk about and there is nothing more to talk about. It is quite hard to talk about the same thing using two pieces of evidence without being too repetitive. Additionally, the conventions that are required this unit were really confusing about where I should use colon and where I should use comma.

If I can redo the assignment, I would probably switch a topic because the only point I can think of that makes sense is criticizing government and it is really repetitive which I believe is the main reason I got a 2 in my reasoning. I would probably choose exploration in human nature since I did almost the same thing in the practice bot.

I would read more books and practice writing CERs in the CER chatbot to get be better prepared for the summative.

Language Art Unit 2 Formative 1 Reflection

I am really that I figured out a window on the formative. It was really hard for everyone because the experience in the story happened almost to everyone before. However I wrote the experience on the minister’s family’s perspective. How the host was being really disrespectful but they still show appreciation.

Figuring out the window was very challenging since it is really not obvious. The story was about how a Chinese girl was ashamed of her culture but later figured out how valuable her culture is. I also had the same experience before so I could not really

I would add a sentence at the end of the window question that I did not experience the thing to make my answer clearer.

I would continue working on my understanding of windows and read more books to encounter every situation.

I will tell myself that reading is the most basic thing to help me improve and I will read more.
