Math: Bake Sale

What did I do

We did a big project about bake sale. Basically, we have two partners and we cook fried chicken together and salad in the bake sale.

What did we learn

We did the bake sale because we have to calculate the unit rate and the profit. And we calculate how much each ingredients cost every minus the total we earn with the total we spent to find out how much money we profit.

What worked

The thing worked in this project is the cooking part it’s really great to cook with our friends and it was really fun. My partner was really funny and we played game together.

What did not work

what did not work is that we did not finish are work on time, because my team mate and me is not focus enough, but we do finish are work at school.

Personal Relevance

I feel like I can’t do better. Is that be more focused and finish my work in school and I really like this unit the bake sale was so good. I hope everybody had fun.

Social studies Unit 2- Ötzi Reflection

What did I work on

During this unit, we mainly focused on writeing a CER about Ötzi. In the CER we have a claim, three evidence, tree reasoning, and a conclusion. We also had a mock trial about Ötzi I was the court reporter, my job is to take photo of the mock trial and making a newspaper about it.

What did I learn

My topic is Why should we care about the past. We should care about the past because we can learn how people live bask in the time. Like Ötzi the iceman he was a man who died 5300 years ago, we should care about him is because than we will know all about what happen in the past.

 What worked well

Something that worked well is that my CER was good I got a good grade, and I feel proud. The mock trial went well people lock all professional. And I feel like I am more focused than the last unit in class because I finished all my work on time.

What did not work well

Something did not work well is that it hard to make a newspaper I sleep at 12:00 because I had to do the newspaper. The CER was also bad because we have to print the paper out, but I don’t know why the printer hate me because the printer printed my work a thousand time.

Personal Relevance

I think I will in this unit because I understand all the work and finish work on time. What I want to improve is that be more focused and not do it for homework and do it in class time.

Science: Egg Car

What did I do

We have to make the egg car drive down a long track, the egg car has to stay on the track, and the egg can not broke a little bit. We only have a straw, a piece of froth, four wheels, and 3 A4 paper.

What did I learn

I see Newton’s 1st law in the egg car challenge because when the car hit the wall the egg want to keep moving and fly out. I see Newton’s 3st law in egg car challenge because when the car hit the wall the wall give a same about of force back so the car will fly out of the track

What worked

first, I work on making a base that can actually fit it egg in and it’s firm. Second, I made a seatbelt to not let the egg fill out because of Newton’s 1st law. Lastly, I made a crumple zone because of Newton 3st law.

What did not work

the challenge we have was that first our base was too small because I wanted to use less paper, but then I realize the egg doesn’t fit so we use more paper and made a better one, but we wasted a lot of paper. Another problem is that we ran off tape to solve this problem I cut our tape in half so that we were having enough tape.

Personal relevance

I learned how to make a car safer by doing a lot of stuff like making a crumple zone and adding seatbelt. Most importantly I learn don’t try to use less stuff if you wanna make a good stuff.

Science: Ballon Car

What did I do

The Ballon Car was built using ballon, straw, and froth. We used to learn about Newton’s law.

What did I learn

Newton’s 1st law says If an object is at rest tends to stay at rest and if an object is in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force. we see this law in action with the ballon car when we let the ballon go the ballon car will get act on a un balanced force so it will move. Newton’s 2st law says the greater the mass of an object, the more force it will take to accelerate the object. We see this law in action with the ballon car when we add more weight to the ballon car than the ballon car will not go far. Newton’s 3st law says every action has an equal opposite reaction.

What worked

I did not touch fish so and i was really focus so I think I did really good. Me and my peer wear kind and helpful so I think I did well. Last I think will did good because my grade improve a lot, and I understand where we are learning.

What did not worked

It was a struggle when I didn’t finish my work at school. To solve this problem, I try my best to finish my work in class, but if I didn’t finish, I will work at home and submit the homework before the due time. Another problem is sometimes I know how to pronounce the word, but I don’t know how to spell the word. To fix this problem I studied those words at home or before a test then I know how to spell the words in the test.

Personal Relevance

the balloon car was like a real car in the real world when we first work on the balloon car I thought it will be boring, but it turned out that the boom car was really fun. I see Newton second law in my real life because when I trying to kick a basketball, it hurts my feet and the ball will not go far, but when I kick a soccer ball, the ball will go really far because the greater the mass of a object, the more acceleration you need.

This is the balloon car that we’re working on. It’s really cool right and I can actually go really far my balloon car when 7 m away. That is really far.

SCIENCE : Critical Thinking Skills

What did I do

I used my critical thinking skills to complete challenges with Indi robot cars and build rollercoasters Gravitrax.

What did I learn

I learned about how I would be graded for Critical Thinking. Critical Thinking is my ability to solve problems and make the right decisions.

What worked

We work on making Indi robot go in the tract that I want.

What did not work

Sometimes Indi go in the wrong direction so we have to change the color of the paper to make Indi go in the right direction.

Personal Relevance

I think I did good with Indi in this lesson, because I can make Indi go in the direction that I want.
