The abuse of power that I explored was the 1972 Salvadorian coup’d’etet where the MJM which is the military youth forces faced a corrupt government and wanted to restore justice by promoting a new president, but they coup is quickly put down by loyalist government forces, and the old government continued rule.

some of the things I learned that was hard during this unit, was finding info about the right coup since there were a lot of coups in El Salvador so it was hard to find documents sourced about this exact one and it was also kind of challenging to find credible sources.

I prepared for the Pecha kucha slides pictures and notecards I used sources such as encyclopaedia Britannica, and some google scholar, for the pictures, and for the note cards I just added the important information.

what was challenging about the presentation was being confident, and talking slowly, also it was hard to pronounce the names of the important people correctly.

One book I would recommend is The Toll since it has a lot of action and a lot of parts where the main characters have to make the right decisions, it also has a cliffhanger end.

One book that was challenging to read was The Grace Of Kings, since the plot was easy to understand but the book itself is kind of long.

According to our learning thus far I think that what causes the changes in the apples are caused by the genes when sexually or asexually produces, this is caused by the pairing and mixing of the alleles

some of the most memorable experiences for me as a learner include the stations activities where we dissected a flower to learn about the sexual a asexual parts of a flower and how the flower uses them in reproduction. another activity was watching the videos about the pollination and the franken fruits since they helped me learn about how pollination worked in reproduction and how scientist are already making franken fruits in real life.

some parts that I could improve on is to add all the required to make the model since I spent 2 lessons doing this and I hadn’t really looked at the required things so it looks me 2 goes to finish all of the required labeling and titles, also at first the scale was not quite right so I had to improve it, and that also took some time to do, another thing is that I did not really want to add color so I think that I had to be more willing to add the colors in the models so that it could look better a more appealing to the audience so that I could get a much better grade.

Some of the steps that we went though for the documentary making were choosing the topic, and me and my partner choose this since we thought it would be interesting to use a little known topic, and then researching and putting the research into the graphic organizer, and then we proceeded to find the pictures and put it into a iMovie but before that we wrote a script to read. which we divided into parts for me and my partner to read out, then we recorded these parts of the script, after which we put these pieces of text recordings into the iMovie video.

One of the things that we did well was finding the information for the documentary, since even though there was not a lot of information but we still managed to find some credible sources to put into the graphic organizer, so I think we did good on that.

One thing that I would do differently is that I would spend less time finding the pictures but spend more time editing it and double checking so that the video would have less errors and would be nicer to watch.

In this unit we learned about algebra and geometry and how we could calculate surface area ,volumes, circumference, and other things.

Vocabulary:

Radius, circumference, diameter, volume, surface area, unit, x, inequality, variable equation, algebra, geometry.

Key concepts:

the formulas to calculate the circumference of a circle are: 2piR and 1piD

the formula to find the area of a surface is wXhXl, and the equation to find the volume is.

the formula to calculate the volume is Volume of square prism = Area of square × height of the prism.

Examples:

if you are trying to find the circumference of a circle with the radius of 7 you simply multiply it by 2 and them multiply it by pi and therefor getting 14pi.

if you are trying to find the area of a surface with the width of 7 height of 6 and length of 7, then 7x6x7=294 so we have the area of the surface.

what I learned this unit: I learned that we need to use the CRAAP (Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose) test to determine if a source is credible, we also learned to question the poster and check the persons personal information to see if he/she has a degree in medicine.

what helped me become more health media literate is the project at the end of the unit which required us to make a slide about a health influencer and use the CRAAP test to evaluate their credibility.

In this unit, we learned about healthy eating, and macronutrients plus the Harvard plate.

Macronutreits include, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, that are required in daily activities in life.

The Harvard is a healthy plate listing different types of macronutrients and what to try to eat more or less of, like ultraprocessed

Part 1:

Essential Question I choose: What happens inside our bodies when we get sick?\

Questions:

How did what you learn about cells and human body systems help you to answer this essential question? 
I researched on multiple websites and finally did an end of unit project to demonstrate our learning. All in all I learned that cells make up tissue which makes up organ which make organ systems that make an organ system, and also that a cell is made up of organelles. How does this relate to the idea that the body is a system of subsystems made up of groups of cells? This relates to the idea that the body is a system of subsystems made up of groups of cells because of how the research shows that systems are made of organs that are made of cells, and that the cell is also a system made of subsystems.

Part 2:

I think the most memorable learning experience is the Dissections since we got to experience first hand the cutting and the microscope making it more etched into my Brain.

2 experiences that helped me understand the body systems and cells best was the edible cell model and the dissections. Why this helped me the most was because I am more of a hands on learner. Which means that I learn better if I am actually doing the thing,

Part 3

If I could improve 1 aspect of your learning in this unit as a whole, it would be CER writing and the reason being in the finale project I had included some parts of the reasoning within the evidence, and I also had limited words in it.

Some feed back that I incorporated into my work was feedback from Mr. Hudders stating that I should include more connotations about how good the drink was, so I did in the video, also Mrs. O’Dwyer asked me to change some of the video content so it would be more entertaining, so that people would want to buy the product.

One thing that I am proud of is that I did this all using editing which I have never done before, another thing is that I am around of learning and using

One thing that I want to continue to work on is better language placement since I could not really get the language to be more persuading.

Bias is a false or unfair statement that gets in the way of fair judgement.

One positive out come of two people having the same perspective is better cohesion and faster decision making.

One negative outcome of people having the same perspective might be that the people might not have chance to think of a new perspective since there are no people correct them since both people think that they are correct.

Collaboration: collaboration will contribute to me since I can work with other people to get the best scores possible on the task.

lab safety: It is important since it will help me get though the school year safely and to not die.

Measuring and Unit Conversions: will contribute to my success in seventh grade because it will get me correct measurements to complete projects to my best ability.

Using Lab Equipment: will contribute to my success in seventh grade because it will get me the right units to complete my project 

Making Observations (Qualitative and Quantitative): is important to help me succeed in seventh grade since it will help me observe and figure out what some or the mystery things are.

Finding IV, DV, and writing a Hypothesis for a Lab will help me succeed throughout seventh grade since it will help me get a stable idea of what elements to change and what elements that I should not touch.

Writing a Scientific Explanation in the form of a CER will help me succeed throughout seventh grade since it will provide as a explanation for my work and provide a further explanation for my answer. which will help me organize my answers.
