This composition portrays who I am as music helps me be relaxed and the vase pouring out water represents me being an Aquarius. This composition shows the vase pouring water, then leading to the music, which shows contrast in size to te other drawings, showing the importance of it.

PE: Badminton Reflection

What We Learned

In this unit, we learned how to serve a backhand and forehand serve.

What I Did Well

I did well on being strategic on the placement of the birdie, and also my smashes while playing.

Improvements

Next time, I need to improve on my dropshots.

Unit 2 Designing A Story Problem (Piecewise Function Project)

The Story Problem

The story problem I created was about a taxi in Hong Kong, answering how much does it cost for a taxi ride when the trip distance is about 15 km, and if the taxi driver charges the passenger HKD $300, how long did the taxi travel for.

Part Of The Project I Was Most Proud Of

A part of the project I was most proud of was that

Hardest Part Creating The Piecewise Function

What I Would Improve

How The Project Helped My Understanding Of Piecewise Functions Better

Unit 2 Topic A & B Test Reflection

Through Unit 2, I improved most at functions. One skill from this unit that I still need to work on is statistics. The biggest challenge for me on this assessment was the Critical Thinkr questions. One strategy that helped me on this test was to recall/memorize the key ideas for the unit.

Unit 3: Identity & Healthy Relationships Reflection

Final Unit Project

For the final unit project of Unit 3, we had to analyze a relationship from a movie, tv show, or music video, and in that relationship, we analyzed if it was healthy or not, with key factors such as consent and boundaries kept in mind. Our group had chosen Bella and Edward from the movie Twilight, and concluded that their relationship is unhealthy as they don’t give boundaries and consent

Important Ideas Learnt About Healthy Relationships From The Unit

Important ideas learnt about healthy relationships from this unit were boundaries and consent are crucial components of healthy relationships, as boundaries define what individuals are comfortable with in terms of personal space, emotional sharing, and activities, helping to establish limits that protect both partners’ well-being. Consent involves explicitly agreeing to engage in specific actions or behaviors, emphasizing that participation should always be voluntary and informed. Open discussions about boundaries and consent create a safe environment where both partners feel respected and understood, reducing the risk of misunderstandings. By prioritizing these principles, partners can foster trust and emotional intimacy while ensuring that both individuals’ needs and comfort levels are honored.

PE Unit 3: Soccer

I learned how to use footwork to dribble the ball in soccer. I did well on defending and attacking. But I still need to improve on the aim of my kicks.

PE Unit 2: Swimming

I learned how to do the egg beater kick, and dribble the ball in water polo. I did well on the fundamental strokes (butterfly, backstroke, breaststroke, and freestyle). But, I still need to improve on my dribbling skills for water polo.

Health Unit 2 Reflection

What I Used To Think About Mental Health

Before this unit, I believed that mental health primarily revolved around our emotions and social well-being. I thought it was largely about how we feel day-to-day and how we interact with others. A common misconception I held was that therapy was only necessary for people dealing with serious mental illnesses.

Now What I Think After This Unit

After learning more, I realized mental health is much broader—it includes our thoughts, behaviors, and how we cope with stress, not just our emotions. I also learned that mental health conditions can affect anyone, and seeking therapy or support isn’t a sign of weakness but a proactive step toward maintaining wellness. My perspective has shifted from seeing mental health as something only “some people struggle with” to understanding that everyone has mental health, and taking care of it is just as important as taking care of our physical health.

La Guerre des Jumeaux

For my oral presentation, I had to read the short novel La Guerre des Jumeaux. It was a bit challenging at first, but I was able to understand it quite well. The story is about twin brothers who face conflict and rivalry that test their relationship and loyalty to each other. To practice, I had Quizlet, using the flashcards and test to help me. I prepared for it by reviewing the story, as we had to retell the story using pictures. Something challenging was to memorize what I had tried to say. I think I had did okay, but I need to improve on my pronunciation and memorizing the things I wrote.
