For this semester, I will focus on effective collaborator in language arts, and get a better grade in Schoology for the next semester. I will try to work with my partner or group in socratic seminars, group projects, and partner work. I’ll also try to communicate more skillfully. It is a TTG in ELA and my Spanish class, so I need to work on skillful communicators.

I have checked the grade book for social studies often and I have only gotten one score less than the grade I wanted.
I think I want to try to improve my CER writing skill in language arts, because I’m really bad at writing CER’s and I need help.
I’m that I didn’t give up, and go back on the goal, and I found an interest with reading.
Yes, I think I need to change the goal to language arts, because my language art grades aren’t as good as my social studies grade.
I’ll try to write more.

I chose to make a submarine model because I thought it was going to be easy. When I first thought of actually making a submarine, my first idea was to use 3D printing, but I knew it was going to be small, so I just used cardboard and paint. During the process, I have tried to add in some 3D printed parts like handles, but they were too fragile and so I scrapped that idea.
I think I presented well to the parents, and the model actually looked like a submarine at the end.
I think I could have presented it to the class a bit clearer and less filler words.

First I found 3 different articles and annotated all of them. I then put all the information on a graphic organizer. Then we structure them into different CER’s. after that we wrote introductions and conclusions.
I structured the essay correctly.
I chose a bad topic, so there wasn’t a lot of positive and negative impacts.
The essential question that I decided to answer is “What happens inside our bodies when we get sick”. I learnt about the different systems and the organelles inside cells. Learning about human body systems and cells was important to help me understand how to answer my essential question. When we are sick with Alzheimer’s it is because the mitochondria in the neurons have broken, and the nervous system can’t send signals around the body. This suggest the idea that a small disfunction can make the entire body not work.
I think the Quizlet help me memorize organelles the best. Dissections helped understand the purpose of the systems, and it help visualize the systems. Lastly, the 3D model worked to help me learn a individual system (excretory).
Something that I would like to improve on is presenting my project, because I didn’t really know what I was doing. I just gave the information to fill the paper, but not anything more. So, I’ll try to do it better next time.

The DECIDE model help people decide whether or not to do something, and it’s helpful for teenagers, because the area that controls decision making. We also learned about the effects of addiction and how it can harm your body. We learned about different types of drugs and how it can be harmful to your body. We used DECIDE models to find out what different drugs can do to your body and to explore different scenarios where drugs can be used.
