Target Games Refleciton.

In this unit, we learned about the different target games, such as but not limited throwing frisbees, throwing sandbags by playing corn-hole. I think I did well on participating in frisbee games. In Disk-Bump, my partner and I actively worked out, and tried hard during matches; I have done very well in all of these sports, so.I believe there isn’t anything for me to improve.

PE Track and Field Unit Reflection

In this unit, we met the requirements to preforming a correct javelin throw. We practiced cardiovascular endurance training, significantly improving ability to run long distances and improves overall health. This provides stronger heart in the long run, providing additional safety. In this unit we also practiced 100m dash, javelin throw, running long jump, and running high jump.

Social Studies SLC Reflection

This is the debate presentation script that was used to support my starting argument at the start of the debate. Even though this was a starting argument script, the claims within the document prompted me for the crossfire debate. During this debate unit, I was successful on using AI to support my learning, and use AI to predict possible rebuttal claim. If I had more time, I would work on revising my script to be more formal, and edit the 3rd claim, making it more related to the claim.

This is my Unit 2 debate reflection. In unit 2, we had to state our starting arguments while ensuring time management. This reflection represented active learner skill. Reflecting upon the debate, I was successful because I made a claim and provided clear evidence in an organized structure. The reasoning highlights the strengths of the claim. made counterclaims that responded to the opponents’ claims.

Language Arts SLC Reflection

I chose this artifact because active learner is graded by the effort put into independent time. This is an artifact used to support the “other” section of analyzes. The analyzes also includes TTG connection, vocab study, and this chart compares the differences between hand taken images and Ai generated images. I chose this photo main due to the effort summarizing the event, and identifying the key viewpoints on these perspectives.

I chose this artifact because it showcased my learning on a certain learning target. This assignment hows your ability to practice close reading strategies and actively engage with a complex text. I met the learning goal for highlighting being selective and purposeful. Annotations engage with unfamiliar words, key ideas, or moments of confusion.

Science Sudent-led Conference

Evidence Organization

My science notebook is helpful as it is a well-organized, and carefully supports my learning by recording exemplars and more information than I can remember.

Evidence of Active Learner Habits

From last October to now, I have improve on turning in assignments and show effort needed to work though challenging science content. I demonstrated persistence on my city weather project presentation because the feedback I received was”Successfully gathered and evaluated detailed information about weather and climate of Haikou, China.” I learned that putting in quality work is one metric to show persistence on learning science content. Not only that, on the consumption and resource quiz, I showed persistence by emailing Ms.Neal for clarification.

Evidence of Understanding Key Concepts

As supported by the evidence, I have meet standards of understanding most of the material for all 3 for 3 quizzes.

Evidence of Growth in Science Skills

This year, I showed grow in Engaging Argument from Evidence, showing growth by improving standard procedures on how to write a correct CER, eventually reaching L3 standards.

My Student Led Conference 2026

Introduction

The purpose of my conference is for me to explain the growth and progress I’ve made this year.

I’d like to share:

  • What I’ve done and what I still want to achieve
  • Some areas of growth, struggles, and some of my work
  • My goals and how I plan to achieve them

Some of the things included on my vision board are:

  • Increase sleep time to 9 hours for 5 days in the week.
  • 100m Backstroke reach time of 1:05 before end of school year.
  • Remain positive attitude and review quizzes and assessments before hand.

These are important because:
These goals cover my mental wellbeing by being positive, my physical wellbeing by sleeping more every night, and my personal goals by improving in a certain area of growth.

My Academic Goals Are:

  1. Achieve Less Negative Feedback in Design Tech(Grading is not the only evaluation criteria)as it aligns with my high school classes

2. Language arts ask 1 meaningful clarifying question in class per week, untill second semester report cards come out. Questions should reflect my leaning and deepens my understanding.

3.Actively takes pictures and getting at least 25 quality photos before 1/1/2027. I will achieve that by looking for composition with my camera.

My TTG I want to work on is Critical thinker, using supporting evidence, synthesis and applies knowledge, asks questions and reflect.

Pickleball Unit Reflection

This unit we learned the basics of pickle ball rules, and standing position. One thing I did well this unit was controlling the timing of return. This is crucial as it could come down to defense and offense. One thing I need to work on is my ability to receive backcourt balls. My only issue is that there was hard for me to transition from defense to offense.

Band SLC

In band , we are mainly graded on 4 sections. We are graded on Active Learner, Perform, Create, and responding. My strengths are on Active learner and Perform. To be more specific, I was active on ,resubmitting assignments to get a 4, and exceeding on the ability to arrive to class on time. One feedback I received on my report card is telling me to attend the ASA and AMIS solo. Success looks like achieving exceeding on the active learner section in my report card. This shows my improvement from semester 1 to semester 2. I will extend my learning by learning how to play a piece of music outside of school.

Band Performance Reflection

We were going for a popular music which could have the audience relate to. We believe that playing an entire new song, it would be hard for the audience to understand and fully enjoy the music on its own. Next time, I would have different instruments rather than 3 supplementary instruments.

I learned that my playing was somewhat steady and on beat. I feel more confident on being the drummer who keeps the tempo of the entire group. The skills I reinforced was my basics. This song has lots of eighth note rest followed by a eighth note. That required strong fundamentals which was something I had gained through out this assignment.

The challenge was the timing for myself. We stopped fairly sudden so the method of reacting to the stop was impossible, I had to follow the flow with my eyes, and not losing track of where I was currently at.

The factors that contributed to success was practice. More practice definitely helped with our success as we improve on proficiency.

Badminton Unit Reflection

In this unit, we practiced our badminton skill, mainly on underhand and overhand returns, backhand and forehand receives, and focused on spikes and smashes. I am proud of the improvement of being form knowing the basics to being proficient in smashes. I could improve on drop shots with recieving at the backcourt.
