In this P.E unit we learned about badminton. We learned how to serve correctly, how to trick other players by either hitting the birdie with a lot of force or with little force, we also worked on grips and I also learned how to serve correctly and how to serve using backhand. Something i did good in was saving the drop shot because most of the times I could catch it correctly, and I improved on my serves a little. But something I need to improve on is using backhand more and improving my serving because I was serving wrong before and my backhand serving was not good.
The TTG (Transdisciplinary Transfer Goals) I want to improve on this semester is effective collaborator because I want to improve on collaborating more with my table group or my shoulder partner.
Language Arts: To improve my collaboration skills in Language Arts I will try talking with my group more during the connector (a time at the start of class to talk about the topic it shows with your group). I will also try to raise my hand more and share my ideas.
Social Studies: To improve my collaboration skills in Social Studies I will try to collaborate more in presentations or in projects where we have to talk with a lot of people.
In this unit we learned about percentage and percent change. The thing I understand the most this unit is the formulas and how they work for example the change/original = %/100. Something new I learned this unit is how you can use tape diagrams and double number lines to solve questions about percentage. Something interesting about this unit was that it could help with real life problems for example finding out how much a tip would cost, or how much the tax would cost, or how much something would cost before and after a discount. A challenge this unit for me finishing my project in time because I had to work on it a little at home because I didn’t finish during class.
Think about how you interacted and responded in the following situations:
When you were placed in new table groups I think at the start when I was placed in a new group I talked only a little but after a few days I started talking a lot more.
When your table decided who would take retrieve/put away your notebooks/folders.
I think that me and my table partners would just decide about who didn’t put them back.
When you were asked to turn and talk with a partner I think that when I was talking with a partner I was interacting a lot or a little more than I was with my group.
When you were asked to contribute to the class discussions and raise your hand
I think that during class I didn’t really raise my hand that much so I need to improve on that.
When you worked with your partner on your dystopian story in Unit 2 I think that I collaborated good with my partner because we were on the same table so we talked more.
When you worked with your partner creating the product branding in Unit 1 I think that in unit 1 I talked less with my partner than I did in unit 2 because we had less time to talk in our tables.
I think I would rate myself a meeting or a 2.5. I think others would rate me similarly because in group work or partner work I try to talk more. To improve I will try to speak more in class and answer more questions.
In science we had to choose from two questions and make a model about them. The question I did was “How do our body systems work together when we play our favorite sport”. It helped me that we learned about cells and body systems before because when we were doing the project I knew what each body system did and I knew how cells work. We also learned how our body systems are made from many cells. I think the learning experience I liked the most in this unit was the cardboard or vr body systems partner work. I liked this one the most because we could be very creative with the way we presented it. If I could improve something I would improve in checking the rubric more so I would know the requirements better.
How do you think your summatives compare to your formatives?
I think that in unit 2 I did better in the summative because I got a higher grade than i did in my formatives. And also if you got a bad grade in the formative you could study it more to prepare for the summative.
What are you proud of?
Im proud that I managed to improve on the parts I was struggling on. And that I managed to improve them.
What were some challenges for you?
Some challenges for me were improving on the things I was struggling on because for me it was hard and I had to study to improve it a lot.
How effectively did you use your feedback?
I think I used my feedback effectively because when I got my rubric and I got something under a 3 I would study it and try to improve on the next time i took a assessment.
If you could redo the summative assessment, what changes would you make?
I think I would try to make my reasoning better by doing it more in a way that it summarize my claim and evidence in way that digs deeper in its significance.
What advice would you give yourself for unit 3?
To practice and study the topics I’m confused with or that I don’t understand, to ask questions if I do not understand and to use the chatbot more.

Improve my active learner and improve all my grades to a 3.
In design tech we had a unit where we build rc cars and 3d printed some items in the car. Something Im proud of is that I finished my rc car on time and i was able to 3d print some items. Something I need to improve on is following the manual correctly because when I first build the car I had to redo a few steps because I did it wrong and my car was not working.
In design technology we had a unit where we build clocks. We were assigned a teacher and we made them a clock. Something I am proud of is that I was able to finish on time. However I could improve in managing my time better because I almost didn’t finish on time, and I think I could improve in Inkscape because I had to redo my clock a few times because it would not laser cut.
In this unit we learned how to dribble a ball, how to shoot the ball correctly and we also learned how to play in a real game against others. We also learned how to pass to each other. Something I am proud of is that I could shoot a ball in the goal. Something I need to improve in is how to dribble a ball correctly because when I dribble the ball it usually rolls away.
In this unit we learned about scale factor and scale. We learned how to find the scale factor and how to make one, and we also learned how to find the scale and how to make one.
In this unit the thing I understand the most is scale factor. Something new in this unit for me were the formulas because I never saw them before. For me the most interesting thing was that the things we learned in this unit were helpful for real life problems. Like for example it can help you draw a map where you need to use a scale. I think I need to improve in finding what is the copy and the original because sometimes I get questions wrong because I don’t understand which one is which. And I also think I need to improve in re reading questions so i understand them.
