Eagles 500

Some math we used is division,  multipliucation and alittle bit of adding too. Mainly around figuring out the ratio rates for the race car and when we will arrive.

One thing I would do is to recheck the work we did because when we first did it the calculation was wrong since the calculator is broken and therefore our time is also calculated wrong. While the estimate we should get is around 16minutes for all we got 28minutes. So if we can re-do it I would mainly focus on the calculations more and get it right the next time.

During the time trials at the beginning we used second/s per lap and since one lap is 1sec we wrote it as 1sec/m. The units were really important since I think if we don’t include units in the challenge we won’t know how much time we walk/run and it would be confusing when we start doing the end calculations. Maybe we will fail too if non of the teacher understands it because units is really important in math.

Box maker

We were making cardboard boxes last thursday.  The recycle material  is carboard .  We are using the exacto knife, box cutter and rulers to cut the cardboard equally.  Hot glue to glue the cardboards together. First the two groups splits to half and trace the box shape and cut it, then we glue it together. We’re totally being safe and caring for eachother. I’ve learned how to cut and trace.

Recycled board games draft

What I am doing now is trying to finish the draft and planning out what I want on the cards right now. I already planned out some on the second picture as you can see and some of the concepts and ideas too. I’m trying to finish the die I’m working on now and also finish the small draft so I can get to a bigger paper and figure out what I am going to use to build it.

Day 1 of Defending McDonald’s

One thing I did well is the color theme and the design. I also think I did well on writing the reasons for the claim; putting myself in first person so I’ll do better at trying to convince people to thinking that mcdonalds is healthy. According to the test scores on schology and the comment is that I was too specific so maybe I’ll work on that later so I can shorten both my claim and question.

Welcome to Your New Portfolio!

Why have a digital portfolio at SAS?

Creating a portfolio, or blog is a great way to collect all the work you’ve done throughout your academic career. You can include academic, athletic, and personal artifacts or experiences that you want to share with a wider audience. This is a great way to organize all your learning in one place and you can take it with you when you leave SAS.  When you make your portfolio, you create posts that are categorized according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you, but if you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category. Think of this as the first opportunity to engage and hook your reader!
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This should include a combination of text and media in the form of images, graphics, and embedded videos. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging and organized? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
  • Tags – create tags that can be used as keywords to describe your post. Tags help organize your post a little more! Aim to have 3-5 tags for each post. For example, if you are posting about a novel you wrote, you might want the following tags: #Fiction, #MurderMystery, #Theme, #PlotDiagram
