What did I do?
I read The Giver and wrote academic paragraphs while responding to questions about the text.
What did I learn?
I learned about Dystopian Fiction by also reading The Giver.
What worked?
The common lit helped me understand my understanding of the book and at the beginning I was not so into the book but after doing the common lit my understanding was better so I got into the book.
What did not work?
At the start my common lit paragraphs were not not long enough and specific enough I also did not use the question in my answer/response.

Jonas turns form 11 to 12 and I also do. He has a family and I also have one but my family has real feeling unlike his. I give fake apologies like Jonas.
What we did?
We started by completing an investigation to determine the relationship between potential energy and height. We also talked about the system and how they all work together.
What are we doing?
During this unit, we mainly focused on if Ötzi was killed or not. We found a ton of info to determine what side we were on (murdered or not murmured) for the court at the end of the unit, and which was surprising that the judge was Mr. Degeer. By working with our little paper, we chose the lawyers, the expert witness, and or the court reporter, and lastly a bailiff. We also typed out this piece of paper from a list of questions to ask at the court.
What are we learning?
We learned many things about Ötzi. We watched videos and read articles to collect and gather important and useful information related to Otzi. By using the things, we learned from the research we filled out an online graphic organizer that talked about the questions we would say at the court. The organizer helped me a lot because I would not be able to remember all the questions in one day. The organizer then helped m=show our questions neatly in formal tone, one question stated if the arrow was man made.

What is working?
Something that is working is that I can talk a lot about Ötzi. When someone asks me a question about him, I can successfully answer the question with a lot of detail. With all the sentences that magic school gave me, I can convince the court that Ötzi was murdered.
What’s not working?
Some things that I need to improve on is being more fluent and clearer when I talk, I also was super surprised when I was talking into the mic because it felt weird hearing my voice coming out of a speaker louder than coming out of my mouth so for the 1st few questions I did not talk properly.
Personal Relevance
The court should continue throughout the other classes as they really teach us what would happen if we ended up in court and how the court works. The skills learned during this unit will help me during other times because I will have better skills than some other random people that might have ended up in court, especially during my future adult life. The court may help me a lot. This project also improved my time management, making me less stage fright, etc.
I did not learn anything I already new everything I also met the standards of dribbling passing shooting etc
playing matched helped me get more used to matches.
I am proud of scoring some goals.
I can work more on better shooting.

What did I do?
The balloon car was built using wheel and axis, paper plate, and balloon and straw. We used the car to learn about the three laws of Newtons. the laws we learned are inertia, acceleration, and action reaction.
What did I learn?
Newtons 1st law stats that an object at rest will stay at rest and an object in motion will stay in motion unless acted upon an unbalanced force. Newtons 2nd law stats that the more mass an object has the more force it will take for the object to accelerate. This law we saw with the balloon car when we added weight and the car moved slower and didn’t travel the same distance as with no weight. Newtons 3rd law stats that with every force comes an equal and opposite reaction.
What worked?
something that worked was that the car always moved because when we build it we tried our best to make it work as good as we could because we new that we would need it multiple times. To make it as good as we could we worked hard and experimented what we can change. One thing that we changed was the amount of straws because we noticed that the more straws the faster the car tended to move.
What didn’t work?
It was a struggle when we needed to to change the amount of straws to two straws because we placed a lot of tape making sure that the straw wouldn’t fall out even with a lot of force. To solve this problem we used hot glue making sure we didn’t break the car by melting the paper
Personal relevance
The Balloon Car was like the acceleration of a car in the real world, when I let the car go. I can feel Newtons 1st law of motion when going in a sharp turn on a car in real life. It is important to know these Laws because it helps you know everything that can happen inside of a car many other motion.

In science, we used materials to build a car to protect an egg from cracking when inside it.
Ms. Cutter showed us about how the egg will continue to move forward because of it’s inertia once the car crashed, what will stop it will either be the crumble zone or the seatbelt. Also, I learned how to make cars safer and how important crumple zones are to a car.
We had made our car with the longest crumble zone as possible so that it will decrease the force when crashing onto the brick. Our car is not that steady and rolls down super fast. We also have a seatbelt at the back to prevent falling out backwards.
I think we can improve on is the use of tape. We finished our tape very quickly, which means that we did not have left overs to attach anything else. We also kind of wasted some on using too much on some parts
This helped me understand why having a seatbelt is so important and I learned about how Newton’s all three laws can apply to life.
My art project was a clay project named cup I did not coil the project at all in fact I made it with 2 part made by a moving platform and then I connected together at last I made everything smooth.
I am proud of the artwork because I made it and I is very smooth and eye refreshing.

What did I work on?
During the Campaign for the Olympics unit, I worked on the geography side. 1st I talked about Lake Geneva there is with an amazing water fountain and the and the use for aqua sports such as swimming and rowing. Next, I talked about the Jura mountains with the use of outdoor sports such as biking and hiking. Also, I talked about Geneva’s famous rolling vineyards the produce grapes and can be used to replenish energy and used to make grape wine to celebrate the winners. I also worked on climate and talked about the temperature, rainfall percentage and the low humidity.
What did I learn?
Global sporting events exist because they help competitors get together and find the winner. They help people see new records and make people aim for a new goal.
What worked?
My presentation worked very well I met all the requirements for the slides needed such as color text and eye contact etc.
What did not work?
Some things that did not work are too many filer words such as umm but so and I need more examples etc.
Personal Relevance
This applies to my future because it will help me work better with a peer and be more able express my ideas.
What did I do?
I used my critical thinking skills to make Gravity Tracks.
What did I learn?
I learned that critical thinking gives you the ability to make right choices and solve problems.
What worked?
Our Gravity Tracks worked very well.
What did not work?
Some of your Indi tracks were messed up.
Personal Relevance
Critical learning can help me make better choices in life such as not touching the tip of a hot glue gun.
