To write my essay, I first did research on 3 different sources. I then annotated it and put it into a graphic organizer. I used the information on the graphic organizer to make an essay. I submitted it and after a few days, Ms Sawyer gave me feedback. I used the feedback to improve my essay and submitted it again. After a few weeks, my grade came out
In this unit, we learned about the effects of addiction and how it can harm your body. We learned about different types of drugs and how it can be harmful to your body. We used DECIDE models to find out what different drugs can do to your body and to explore different scenarios where drugs can be used.

U: What do you understand in this unit? I understood most of the things such as percentages, decimals, and fractions.
N: What new information did you learn in this unit? I learned how to find percent change and find x=y% of what number?
I: What was interesting in this unit? I think the Amplify activities were interesting and the IXL was fun too.
T: What was tricky for you in this unit? I got confused between percent change and percentages in general and I didn’t know how to calculate x=y% of what number
I chose essential question A: What happens in our body when we get sick? I did research on COVID-19. I found out that something small like a mitochondria malfunctioning can cause multi-system failure and even death. This shows that the body is a system of interacting subsystems. This helps me understand that the body is made up of cells.
The best experience was the dissection and the VR project and the Gimkits. The most impactful experiences was the videos and the stations activities. I personally enjoy learning through games and fun things where we get active.
If I could improve one thing, it would be the CER writing because I don’t think my CER writing was very good. I think I did enough revision for my L2 quizzes. I think I should work more towards a L4 instead of a L
In this unit, we learned about how to use inkscape and how to laser cut. We made clocks for different teachers based on their preferences. We made many slide in the keynote like ACCESS FM, demonstrate technical skills, and much more in the keynote above.
U: I understood most of the things in this unit but I didn’t know some of these when I started. I knew how to find perimeter and area and how to calculate scale factors.
N: I learned that a shape needed to be the same to be a scale copy and that you couldn’t change some of the sides to be diagonal to be a scale copy.
I: I think the amplify was interesting because watching the robot draw perfect shapes was satisfying.
T: Nothing was tricky in this unit. I understood everything really well.
In Unit 3, we learned how to play soccer. We learned how to switch from offence to defence and defence to offence. I improved my soccer skills such as shooting goals and dribbling.
In Artistic swimming, we practiced how to do underwater routines and transitions. I learned how to do a sidestroke and how to lift. I improved my sculling and holding my breath underwater.
