Unit 4 dystopian fiction reflection

What did i learn about dystopian fiction

I learned that societies Think that they’re perfect, but it’s actually a nightmare there. Everybody needs to be the same and there’s many different types of dystopian fiction like to tourism, dehumanization control of nature, illusion of utopia and much more

how does dystopian fiction encourage me to think about real life

that some stuff in real life are actually good even though we complain about them and in the giver society or in dystopian fiction that is just like you better not complain about them in real life, but there’s also some stuff in dystopian fiction like war that doesn’t exist you know but there’s some messed up stuff like love that we’re not exist in dystopian fiction but exist in the real world and they exist in the real world, even though they make us have a war

describe what you didn’t or did like about the giver

I like the giver because it explains a lot of like it’s more like fantasy, but sometimes connected to the real world and it’s also really interesting to like stay along. You know like you can follow along pretty easily even though it makes you uncomfortable sometimes.

how dose my abilety to write academick peragraphs improoved

my ability to write a academic paragraph has sort of gotten better but sometimes it’s not so I forgot to like not use like filler words like she he or like something like close enough to that and I use these words a lot in the real world so that’s why when I write it’s very confusing for me bu my academic figure has improved because in some ways I practiced writing the good structure of it. I just need to get better at don’t using those like filler words and like one person two person words.

how have i become beter at literature discussions

I’ve gotten better at literature discussions because I have had three or four little discussions in this entire unit and those literature discussions are super good for like practicing for the real world so I haven’t become better at literature discussions because I’ve also learned that using those, I understand what you are telling me, but… is like very important to use in nicely way so I also learned that

pe : soccer unit 3 ⚽️

what did i do

so I played soccer and in different teams I’ve learned how to dribble the ball. I tried to pass the ball and I learned how to shoot the ball.

what culd i do beter

I could do better in my past skills because also my receiving skills suck but that’s something I can do better

what went well

something that went well was that I did a good job shooting

what didn’t go well

while I was receiving skills because every single, I tried to receive I failed

what did i improve on

I improved on my kicking and dribbling skills

what can i work on

I can work on, definitely eating skills and maybe my passing skills

what am i proud of

I am proud of my hard work and I am proud of how I played the games and I’m proud of how my teammate supported me

Social studies reflection

Unit 2 Otzi Unit Portfolio Reflection

  1. What did I work on?
  1. During this unit, ‘Why should we care about the past?’, I worked on
  1. Making observations, inferences and wonderings
  1. Using photos and articles as evidence
  1. Writing a CER paragraph
  1. Asking and answering open and closed questions
  1. Taking part in the Otzi Mock Trial, my role was to be a defense lawyer
  1. What did I learn? Why should we care about the past?
  1. We should care about the past because history repeats itself
  1. What worked well?
  1. I am proud of the following work I’m proud of my CER. Paragraph I’m also proud of praying for my child and my questions. That I had to say in front of the jury
  1. I am proud of the work above because I did a good job on doing them and I practicing them and doing them correctly at a young age it can really help you when you’re older to not have to redo all of your learning.
  1. What did not work well?
  1. I found some of this work challenging, . I think that something did not work well was when I had to read all of the articles again, so I could collect even more information.
  1. I found the work above challenging because I didn’t really wanna do it when I did it. I had to read like 3 to 4 more articles which made me feel very hurried. And I was sort of panicking. If I did not read them in time I wouldn’t get a good grade.
  1. Personal Relevance
  1. Collaboration and communications skills are important in my future because. You are always gonna talk and if you’re presentation skills are not really good you can work on them because basically you’re gonna have to do a lot of presentations when you grow up especially if you work like a big business or if you wanna be an actor singer or whatever.
  1. This is a photo of my work about my mock trial

    Baking cell project🍪

What did I do. on day one I searched the recipe with no more then 10 ingredients I also used the provided conversion sheet to determine both imperial and metric amounts needed for each ingredient in the recipe on day two I provided all the unit rates with proper unit tables and using the proper vocabulary in the answers. I also figured out all the batches and respective calculations for each ingredient on D3. I provd mathematical explanations for the cost of one batch of the recipe and how many servings provided I also figured out the cost of each serving using the proper strategies that show us in the scale factors. I also the percentage and did the determination as a percentage, markup and sell price. I also created my math poster that summarizes the math done in Part six and seven on day four I did the pitch based off the math posters this pitch determined the sale price is based on my markup

what did I learn? I learned how to reach recipes in the Internet I also learned how to convert cups to grams and I also learned why I want to do that on day two I learned how to do all the unit rates with proper unit tables and using the proper vocabulary indeed too I also learned all the batches and respective calculations for each ingredient, including the proper vocabulary in the answer on day three island how to provide clear mathematical explanations for the cost in one of one batch in the recipe, and I also learned how many servings provided and cost of each serving using a proper strategy that shows us the scale fa in a three I also learned percentage and markup and sell price providing a mathematical model and their profit on each cell on day three I also learned to summarize the mathematical done in part six and seven and on day four I learned how to write a pitch based off the math posters I wrote

what work well I think something that worked really well. Was the explanation done in part six and seven? I also think I did a good job and converting the US measurements into the metric system in China.

for what did not work well I first didn’t really know how to do part seven so that’s something that didn’t really work and that I had to get some help to complete that assignment

how is this relevant for me this is relevant for me because in my future I’ll probably have to convert measurements and I will not always be able to use online to search it up or maybe online can lie so it’s really good to learn that I think something that’s really relevant for me and my future or right now in my life is how to write a pitch because you write a pitch in a lot of of your classes and I think that’s gonna be really useful. I also think that something that is relevant for me in my life is how to search up good recipes.

    Swimming 🏊 🏊‍♀️ 🏊‍♂️

    swimming reflection’s

    what did i learn

I learned to snorkel better i how to learn about underwater sign language like how to do a turtle with your hands and how to say I need to go out of the water with your hands and also how to say look at this is is so cool with your hands how to say i am ok 👍 ✅ 🆗

what should I improve on? I am improved on breathing with my mouth with a tube inside, I also improved on my butterfly

    who helped me?

my coach help me and my friends that were with me helped me

    sincerely mar

    Science, egg car reflection

the criteria for the egg car was to experience newtons first second log by making a car and then it contains an egg inside.

we seen Newton’s first law in the egg car when it crashes into the little bricks and then it crashes and Newton’s first low even an object is a movement, ill movement and even an object is unless acted by different force that’s what happened there

We see newtons third law when it crashes into the bricks and then since Newton’s third losses for every action does an equal opposite reaction for every action it was like going to the cemented block, and then the equal opposite reaction was when it bounced and then went backwards

the egg car went well when it was going to write speeduntil it crashes through well then that’s when something bad happened

the crashing part was not really successful when it crashed because it went to the side and then and that the edge it and like crack

it’s important to know Newton’s laws because the science used to develop a bumper in the vehicle which slows the car down to keep us safe so when the car crashes the cement block is the outside force that stops the car

    baloon car

connected the two wheels together we use this to learn about newtons laws of motion newtons first law says an object is in motion. It will stay in motion, and if an object is at risk, it will stay at rest, unless acted by an different force. We see this happening in the balloon car when it crashes into the wall, so it might be at motion until it crashes into the wall Newton second law says force equals mass times acceleration we saw this happening, the balloon car because the more metal plates that we put on the balloon car the slower it went, and it didn’t reach super super long Newton’s third law says for every equal action there’s an equal and opposite reaction. We saw this happening in the balloon car when the air released from the balloon, the air pushed backwards, which made it go forward the balloon worked well because we made the straw inside the balloon point to the bottom in the right angles were pushed actually four it didn’t like stay still this worked well because or better said we put it in the right position we had to pretend that we were the air and we were like just wobbling the straw around until it actually clicked and it worked it was a struggle when our first car wasn’t working and then when we tried to fix it, it broke like it just broke to solve this problem, we asked Miss Kerwin for help. She gave us another Styrofoam plate and then we built it again, which made us succeed. the balloon car was like a car in the real world when i see the balloon was sort of like the engine which pushed it back, which means the wheel go forward. That’s what made me think that the balloon car was like a real car in the real world because that’s you know how a car has an engine and the engine pushes the air backwards. It has like a lot of air or like fire and then it makes it go forward and the same thing with the balloon card just at the balloon card, not endless engine. It’s like some air and then going out. I see Newton’s third lol happening when a car crashes into another car think about it when car is driving and then it crashes into another car if it has the same mass, it will fly like equal and opposite. I also seen disturbed law happening when the car is trying to drive, it’s gonna go because the thing pushes it back so that third law is the I think car engineers need to know newtons first second and third law because they’re trying to figure out how to make a car move. You know it’s like doing our building for a balloon car the same thing we need to know all the laws. I also think that roller coaster engineers should know these laws because they need to know what to do when there’s a loop coming and worse when there’s a hail coming so they need to know newtons law to be successful in the roller coaster building and to make it safe.

The balloon car was built using a Styrofoam plate, a boba straw, a balloon, some other little straws, some wheels, and the metal thing that connected the two wheels together. We used this to learn about Newton’s laws of motion.

Newton’s first law says that an object in motion will stay in motion, and if an object is at rest, it will stay at rest, unless acted on by a different force. We see this happening in the balloon car when it crashes into a wall. It might be in motion until it crashes into the wall.

Newton’s second law says force equals mass times acceleration. We saw this happening in the balloon car because the more metal plates we put on the car, the slower it went, and it didn’t travel very far.

Newton’s third law says for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. We saw this happening in the balloon car when the air was released from the balloon. The air pushed backwards, which made the car go forward.

The balloon worked well because we made the straw inside the balloon point to the bottom. The right angles pushed it forward; it didn’t just stay still. This worked well because we put it in the right position. We had to pretend we were the air and just wobble the straw around until it actually clicked and it worked.

It was a struggle when our first car wasn’t working, and then when we tried to fix it, it broke.

To solve this problem, we asked Miss Kerwin for help. She gave us another Styrofoam plate, and then we built it again, which made us succeed.

The balloon car was like a car in the real world. I see the balloon was sort of like the engine, which pushed it back, which in turn made the wheels go forward. That’s what made me think that the balloon car was like a real car in the real world because that’s how a car has an engine, and the engine pushes the air backwards. It has a lot of air or fire, and then it makes it go forward. The same thing happened with the balloon car, just that the balloon car’s “endless” engine is like some air that goes out.

I see Newton’s third law happening when a car crashes into another car. Think about it: when a car is driving and then it crashes into another car, if it has the same mass, it will fly. It’s an equal and opposite reaction. I also see the third law happening when the car is trying to drive; it’s going to go because the thing pushes it back, so that is the third law.

I think car engineers need to know Newton’s first, second, and third laws because they are trying to figure out how to make a car move. It’s like building our balloon car; we needed to know all the laws. I also think that roller coaster engineers should know these laws because they need to know what to do when there’s a loop coming and, worse, when there’s a hill coming, so they need to know Newton’s laws to be successful in roller coaster building and to make it safe.

art end of unit that i am proud of project

I chose to do a phone because it’s part of human culture like we use it in our everyday life and I made this phone out of cardboard because I thought that car tbord was gonna be a very nice thing to experience with especially making a phone which is a simple item I applied the method of blowing hot, glowing, and actual regular glue. I also applied the method of whole punching and cutting with scissors. I am part of this artwork because I think it turned out very nice and it turned out very pretty. That making a simple iron can also be very hard. i am proud of this piece because I never made a phone out of it. I always like I’m very very proud of it because I had to experiment some like different stuff that I was not sure if it was gonna ruin my project or make it prettier and I had a problem solve a lot during this project, which is very fun to do because at first it was not thick enough, so I had to cut measure different cardboard to make it the same size.

    creative writing reflection

    What are we doing?

Writing a fictional story based on a theme that matters to me.

    What are we learning?

Theme (my purpose for writing this story, my message to readers)

Character Development (creating believable characters with positive & negative traits)

Plot (the sequence of events in my story; Western and Eastern approaches to storytelling)

Setting (the world that I create for my story)

    What is working?

I enjoyed planning the plot and the character development

I think I did very, very good on the plot because I think that the reader was shocked when they figured out that the mom killed the daughter

What elements of my story are you proud of? (Explain why)

How did you get the idea for your story?

The Best Line of my storry is, but I am your daughter. This gives the reader clue that the daughter really really cares about the mom, but the mom doesn’t really care about the daughter. That’s why the mom killed her because of her voice. I also like this slide a lot because while I was writing the story or especially that line, Mr. Murray kept on making these funny jokes which made me laugh and made me come up with this line.

    Areas for growth

I think I would change the beginning of the story because I didn’t feel like the click I didn’t feel that I did a good job there and if I had more time, I would have added that more I first deal with the challenge of figuring out how my character would sound like and what it would be so also character development was a big struggle for me because I didn’t want my character to be perfect. I also wanted to have a little of differences and difficulties, but I could have done way better and not make my character smarty-pants.

How did you deal with these challenges? I deal with these challenges because I knew that I had to overcome this so one of my biggest challenges was character development, cause I didn’t wanna make character to be all perfect, but I didn’t want it to be like all bad stuff about her so I had to deal wi finding some character traits negative and positive that fit her

What is your least favorite part of the story?  Why does it bother you? My least favorite part of the story is the beginning. I didn’t really feel the click and it really bothers me because every time I read a story I want to be beginning to be like the best part. I don’t care if the middle is like bad, but the beginning always has to be good so that you hook th so it really bothers me that by beginning or my entrance was not the best I could do

    Personal relevance

it can help me in real life because imagine that you’re one time very very bored you can just start to like write a creative writing story and it’s very very fun to learn. How do you write a creative writing story so if you get easily bored, you can start planning and then eventually you can just like write it however you want and it doesn’t have to be at school. It can also be at home and at home there’s not that much pressure of what your grade is.
Do you enjoy creative writing – would you possibly like to continue using your imagination to tell stories that matter to you? Yes, I really enjoyed creative writing. I believe it’s one of my favorite storytelling strategies and it’s very very nice because you can just make up anything you know and then deal with like the changes that happen in your story and it’s very very fun to write because if you were not writing a creative story, it would have to be more realistic in that case in my state. It’s not that realistic, so it was a very, very good change to change from being a realistic and being nonrealistic so it was very, very fun to write the story and I hope you enjoy
