During this unit I think there is a lot I could improve on specifically the process of making the box but the outcome was good I think one thing I need to improve on is maybe if I know i’ve got a problem or I need to fix something try come in at lunch or after school so that wont put me behind and I can get it done then. One thing I did well was I think the confidence to finish because even though during the process of creating the box I made a few mistakes here and there but I put in the time to fix it like when I got the wrong size I started over and fixed the sizes another thing I did well on was staying on task I wasn’t just taking to my friends and getting behind I was staying on task and trying my best and when I lazer cut it there were no issues and it fit perfectly and also i did well in the spray painting making sure it wasn’t going to bleed and putting on the right amount of glue so it wouldn’t ruin the design and overall I think there are a few things I would do next time but the outcome was good.

During this unit we worked on transformations like reflections dilation translations rotations on the y and x axis and i think i did pretty well in this unit staying on task and being organized not being late bringing all the things i need for class and i think that i demonstrated that i care and into the actual unit.

I chose the sticker project as my best piece of work because i think i demonstrated that i understood simple transformations and i finished my project on time and i was organized and i worked well.

Throughout this unit i improved the most by everything the whole uit everything we did at the beginning i didn’t quite understand and by the middle to the end of the unit i really did understand how to pretty much do everything i got better at my transformations and everything i learnt i managed to do well and i think i could see it clearly myself that i was improving and not only that i think i got better at staying on task and being organized.

I feel that i still need to work on asking more questions coming out of my comfort zone because i don’t really talk for everyone to hear much and ask more questions to the teacher asking for feedback and help.

A few of my strengths this year one is arriving on time coming to class ready for the day staying on task not talking to my friends being focused and being organized bringing all the essential items to class.

One thing i would like to improve on for the next unit is understanding what were going to do know what the unit is so i can practice it before the unit starts so im prepared and i don’t feel like i miss anything. And asking more questions getting feed back and probably coming in for extra time if i need to catch up on something that would be a good time to do that and it would help me for the next class because i would know what to prepare for and i think it would help me alot.

In the next unit i want to do a project like possibly a presentation or make something because i really like to present because i think it shows my understand on what were doing in class and i honestly just like to present something that could get in the way is maybe my friends because we talk alot in class and maybe that could get in the way in being organized and staying on task.

During the probability fair me and my partners created our game wich was called drop to win which was basically a game were you would put a ball down a board and watch it go through obstacle courses and then maybe land in a cup and there is a chance you win nothing it can end up going in the death hole and thats a ultimate lose. But if it dose go in a cup there are 5 cups it can land in if it goes in cup 1 you would get a piece of candy if it lands in cup 2 you can chose between a coke or a squishy if you get cup 4 you can get skittles and if you get it in cup 5 you get a candy string and finally if you get the ball in cup the the winner cup you get 2 nintendo 3DS

In total there were 4 people that won at the beginning the first person won the nintendo 3DS then the next person got a game boy then the other two just got candy.

But that was a mistake we made we should have bought more grand prizes. but something we did well was making our game very popular we got many people to come by walking in the hallway asking people to come and we got a lot of tickets and i think many people liked it. the probability of winning the grand prize was about 30% and to get a normal prize was 60% and our game was dependant. overall I think we had a great game it was pretty ugly but i think people found it fun and we did well.

for my presentation with camron we did michael jordan the G.O.A.T of basketball we chose to do michael jordan because he has definitely accomplished many things in his life and many people know his name bu in the presentation we chose to manly talk about his sneaker company with Nike the game changing partnership

I think for the presentation one thing I could work on is trying to keep calm and not stutter because that could make the audience maybe feel a bit uncomfortable to help with this I keep telling myself to just breath and that the people in the classroom I have already been with for a full semester and also maybe for the presentation even though I am using note cards i could still try to make eye contact with the audience and also because I am reading what I have to say maybe I can try make my voice sound less robotic and like sound more enthusiastic and prepared to talk to the audience.

If i could do this again a few things I would change is making the presentation with more videos and make more of the photos connect to what we are saying because that helps a lot and also practice a few more times antill we remember our script that would help out a lot as it would make us be able to look at the audience more and be able to use hand movements and this would help make our presentation look a lot more professional.

but overall I think me and camron did a pretty good presentation and I think there are a few thing we could improve on but I still think we did good.

there are some bad habits like when you need to do homework or something and you look at your phone there’s a big chance it’s not the first time you have done that and if you do it once your going to get into a habit loop of every time you do your homework your going to do it again and again. a habit loop is when you do something and then you do it again you get into a loop and you can not stop dong it

for my story i chose to do a comic showing about your mind getting distracted like doing homework but then quickly changing to video games or going on your phone those distractions put you behind in life.

in this part of the comic you can see the kid getting distracted with technology and being on it for 5 hours and he didn’t get any work done.

and then the next day in school he feels really bad because he didn’t get any work done and his dad takes away his favorite things.

so then he tries again by practicing and doing his homework then later on the test he does well because he put in the time for his homework and he did not get distracted with his phone this is a very valuable lesson to learn in life don’t waste time with things that don’t help you with life do your homework.

MY Reflection i think i added my best but i definitely could have done better but also i had many chances to practice and i have chosen to take the retake to make up. and i think if i practice a lot i could definitely improve.

i think i found the first question i understood it but i feel like i didn’t have enough time and so i think that was a struggle too.

something else about the assessment that even that i got some questions wrong i could see that i was slowly close to understand the question with help of my tutor at school and home and it slowly helping me in math class

unit 1 was about proportionality and learning about constant of proportionality and also i found this a bit tricky because i didn’t really understand much

and in unit 2 we were talking about scale factors and similar figures.

i don’t feel like i was really confident on the assessment so i need to practice more on the topic we are working on in class.

we made sushi and it made me feel good because it showed how we were being independent as a group and being an effective collaborator

for this project i definitely managed  my time well in this project  and staying on task. i think it was really frustrating to find a graph about indian elephants because all that came up was about asian elephants witch took up most of my time.and i tried to search up indian elephant population over and over again then i found a bar graph that i was using but all the data from the graph was from 2017 so i decided to do a different graph but i didn’t find the graph i only found the info about how the population changed over time so i’m now using that info to make my own graph on book.xlsx. i also think i did well with my elbow partner because we were talking about both our project about our different animals and we were collaborating and kind of helping each other with information. i also thought it was easy at first to get info about indian elephants antill i started to need photos because i think google got confused when i said indian elephants all that came up was about asian
