for this project i definitely managed my time well in this project and staying on task. i think it was really frustrating to find a graph about indian elephants because all that came up was about asian elephants witch took up most of my time.and i tried to search up indian elephant population over and over again then i found a bar graph that i was using but all the data from the graph was from 2017 so i decided to do a different graph but i didn’t find the graph i only found the info about how the population changed over time so i’m now using that info to make my own graph on book.xlsx. i also think i did well with my elbow partner because we were talking about both our project about our different animals and we were collaborating and kind of helping each other with information. i also thought it was easy at first to get info about indian elephants antill i started to need photos because i think google got confused when i said indian elephants all that came up was about asian
i am proud of this because i think i had a lot of good scientific information and i added all of my citations. And me and my friend krashang were able to work together well because he told me a lot i should add and i told him a lot he should add. And i think i really did manage my time well because i was able to finish 6 pages in only one class. I think a struggle was to find trustful websites to get information. a also found it a bit tricky to find all the labels of the human body parts because a lot of the words i did not know. But overall i think i did pretty well on a puberty poster.
I think I have improved over the year in Social Studies. I have got better at being focused in class and uploading assignments on time. And I improved at coming to class with a good attitude and getting ready for class. I also improved at being on time and not always being told to open my laptop. My learning behavior rating has improved as when I first started I used to get a 1 then and now I’m getting 5 for paying attention in class and staying on topic and not getting distracted while doing work. I think my attitude in class has changed alot since the first day of school. And i think it makes me feel happy and proud of myself.
I’m proud of my ancient Athens and ancient Roman Democracy diagram because I think I put a lot of effort into it. And also because I got a lot of really good information about Athenian and Roman Democracy. But my struggle was that there was a lot of writing but overall I think I did a good job. And my improvement in this year social studies that I came into class with a positive attitude and concentrating when Ms Ryan was talking and getting my work done faster during social studies class. And also I added a lot of detail into my writing and I thought it was very clear. I think if I did it again I would of changed a lot of my writing to say more about what they had more in common if I had enough time.
Why have a digital portfolio at SAS?
Creating a portfolio, or blog is a great way to collect all the work you’ve done throughout your academic career. You can include academic, athletic, and personal artifacts or experiences that you want to share with a wider audience. This is a great way to organize all your learning in one place and you can take it with you when you leave SAS. When you make your portfolio, you create posts that are categorized according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you, but if you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:
- An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category. Think of this as the first opportunity to engage and hook your reader!
- Body – this is where you share your learning. This should include a combination of text and media in the form of images, graphics, and embedded videos. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging and organized? Do they want to keep reading?
- Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
- Tags – create tags that can be used as keywords to describe your post. Tags help organize your post a little more! Aim to have 3-5 tags for each post. For example, if you are posting about a novel you wrote, you might want the following tags: #Fiction, #MurderMystery, #Theme, #PlotDiagram
