Audience Insight: What key message do you want your audience to understand about you as they view your artwork? How did you communicate this message?
I want the audience to understand that I am a person that really enthusiastic person, and I really enjoy listening to music. I have shown that by adding specific artists that I enjoy listening to, or specific albums, such as the Sza’s “SOS” album, and Daniel Caesar’s “Never enough.” I have also added the app “Spotify,” since it is the app that I used the most to listen to music. Other than music, I also really love my cats, so I have added images of my two cats that I have at home. Another part of me that I want my audience to understand is that I value my childhood very much, so I have added images of toys to represent what I play with when I was younger. Another thing to represent my childhood is that I have also added images of myself in my portrait.
Risk and Experimentation: During the creation of your artwork, how did you take risks and experiment in order to effectively express your intended message?
During the creation of my artwork, I have tried to make my art piece unique by adding unusual symbols, such as bubbles, and etc. I have also taken risk on the part where I added lines, to connect my artwork together. I have taken these risks, since I want my express that I am a really chaotic person, so I had different shapes and symbols to represent that.
