During this unit something I think I did well was that I improved and worked with my friends and learnt smashing for the first time as well has learning how to use back hand serving
Something that I think I could do better in is back hand because I still often miss it sometimes and struggle with hitting it over the net while everyone else is able to hit it over the net with backhand
One thing we did and my favorite part was the Speed Challenge because in the speed challenge I think I learnt the most with tests and fixes, especially when I built the car because it kept going off course and swerving for no reason, as show in the power point below I spent a lot of time building and fixing the bot with multiple tests:
When I finally finished it we ended with a near second place.
Something that I could improve upon if I did this again is not being so un efficient because lots of times I got disqualified because I wasn’t done.
But one thing I think I did well is building and testing because although lots of things broke apart and did not go well I still managed to finish good.
The goal of this unit was to design a cool tissue box with good atheistic and functionality. While we built it we would make tests and design choices to teach us how to design better things.
The first thing we did was draw a outline for all the pieces as a blue print, then we cut it out on foam sheets and pieced up a white box prototype, after that we uploaded the design ideas onto ink scape and started designing it to be able to get cut. After we finished designing and cutting it out on wood with a laser cutter we finally started painting it. When we finally finished painting it we stuck it together and we had our finishing product.

Some skills I exercised are planning with blue prints or design on Inkscape.
If I could do this again I would be more careful because all the pieces that I stuck on were slightly wonky.
And something that I think I did well on is the design because it looks very bright and neon and cool.
The purpose of the project is to learn what a good relationship is and the aspects of it. As well as learning about the unhealthy relationships and the aspects of those. We learnt this by making a presentation about a couple in media and analyzing the relationship as shown above. (We chose Jim and Pam in The Office)
Some things that are important that we learnt were:
1. Power Balances, we need to have both sides of the relationships to have balanced authority
2. Consent, both sides of the relationship have to say yes to the relationship
3. Respect, both sides need a decent human respect towards each other
In the soccer unit I think I did well when we played the matches, although im not that good I still tried my best with lots of thanks to a friend in the class for helping me and encouraging me and teaching me
But something I think I didint do as well is the actual playing, I missed a lot of shots and missed a lot of passes, as well as not kicking hard enough so the ball weakly wobbled to the goal and was easily blocked
Something I would improve on if we did this again is practice a bit at home so I wouldent be such a anchor to my team and help score to not feel like they are failing because of me
Something I think I did well was my talk time, which was 1.6 minutes, compared to the average I did well because this means I didint over do it or under do it.
Something I could grow in is talk times, the average was around 5 times, but I also only did 5 times, to not over do it I could talk 6 times so I could still do more than the average but still not over do it
Another thing I think I did well is the one moment in the audio where my thinking was clear when I talked about the multiple things I did to make my story better and when I tried to ask a open ended question.
Another thing that I think I didint do so well is the one moment where I didint include as much people as I wanted to, to improve upon this I could ask more open ended questions or prompt someone to talk who isnt talking as much as others.

(The numbers are the time stamps of where I talked)
In Unit 2 Health class we learnt about stigmas of mental health and all the students picked on mental health disease and made a presentation that we later on shared. I did depression with my friends Luke and Siwoo.
Before learning about these diseases I used to think that mental health like depression was just a sad person but now I know that it is actually a disease and not just a sad person. For example if you have bipolar depression you might hear things or be overly exited for random things and have insomnia.
Another thing that I used to think is that PTSD was just a war veteran who was emotionally scarred by the dangers in war. But that was a stigma and not completely true, Although some PTSD patients are war veterans 75% of PTSD of patients are women.
Over all I think I improved alot because I learnt about breaking the stigma and I learnt how lots of media portrayals were stigmas and it made me more open minded and expanded my knowledge
When I read this story I felt that it was extremely hard and stressful because I am not good at french and I thought I was going to fail. During this unit to help us the teacher told us to do the quizlet, which is a quiz game for learning on the internet, where you can find sets and practice your subject. Our teacher assuaged us a set of words to practice, I used the matching feature to help me because I felt like it would help me learn the most while having a bit of fun. We have to match the word and the definition in the least amount of time and so on. For a assessment we had to use the pictures in the book and by looking at it improvise a summary for the whole story by describing each picture. Me and my friend Luke prepared for it by working together and sorting it out to make it easier and more efficient. Something that was challenging was memorizing it all, I find memorization extremely hard because I have a bad memory when it comes to things like this. My opinion on the feedback I received is that it was good and could help me improve in the future. Something I am proud of is that I made more complex sentence structures but something I need to improve on is that I didint conjugate all my words.
My W.O.O.P Goal:
Wish: Sleep more to be more awake in the day to get better grades
Outcome: To sleep around 6-7 hours a day
Obstacle: Youtube, im too addicted to scrolling youtube shorts
Plan: To use the APP One Sec, which my teacher suggested
Core Features of One Sec:
One sec lets you choose which apps to but on the block list, provides a customizable delay before accessing distracting apps, default delay is around 5 seconds, with the option to set longer delays. it also allows users to adjust the duration of the delay based on their needs and preferences.

Useful Features:
At the start it asks you how long do you usually scroll for and since when you scroll it asks you to stop each time after 5 seconds, and because of this it shows you the time you had saved because you pressed the “Stop Scrolling” button that it suggests you every 5 seconds.

Progress, First 5 Days:
My Woop After 5 days of doing WOOP Goals I have not made any progress on my wish to get more sleep. Because my obstacle is Youtube and my plan was to use One Sec but whenever I open youtube it just stops me for 5 seconds and then it lets me access it anyways. Its also disturbing my work because when I tried to make it longer than 5 seconds (30 minutes). I have to wait 30 minutes to use Youtube and because some classes needs to use Youtube, I ended up switching back to 5 seconds but since its 5 seconds it doesn’t help me at all. 5 days ago I slept at 2:00 and woke up at 7:00 my goal is to sleep at 11:00 but currently I still sleep at 2:00. I do admit that on the weekend I slept from 11:00-7:00 but I doubt thats because of One Sec, I also would like to say that it is not because I am going to bed late, I go to bed at 11:00, which is in theory enough time. But by the time I fall asleep its 2:00. In the end of these 5 days I think One sec helped me get less addicted to screen but not sleep earlier.
Progress Next 5 days:
After another 5 days of using one sec to achieve my WOOP Goals I think it helped me get less addicted. I think the reason one sec helped me is because it became less “worth it” to watch youtube. I think the perfect balance of how long the one sec should be for youtube is 10 seconds, because when you scroll it makes you wait 10 seconds between each short. So instead of scrolling for a long time I only scroll 6-7 minutes per day.
Psychological Impact and Design Elements:
I think because of the feature where you have to wait a few seconds between each scroll it has a impact on the brain that negates the fun of scrolling, for example scrolling is fun because each second it sends a dopamine boost to your brain, but if you wait 5 seconds between each scroll its less effective so scrolling isn’t as fun anymore causing people to not want to do it.
One thing that I learnt during Health Unit 1 is that I shouldn’t work with people that goof around although they are my friends, because we all had to do so much work at home because we weren’t locked in during class time. I also learnt about how stress effects us like the Amygdala or the Prefrontal cortex and the Hippocampus. The amygdala controls humans feelings for example Flight Fight or Freeze. The Prefrontal cortex is used when the brain needs to think logically. Finally the Hippocampus is like the memory card of the brain and it stores important things to remember.

One thing I would improve upon is spending more time on it because we were not locked in and we kept getting side tracked and we were not paying attention. So I think we could have done a lot better for example we could go into more detail in the bullet points or add more pictures or prepare for the presentation for longer.
One thing I would change if I did this again would be to pick different partners. This is not intended to offend my current partners but although they are my friends we did NOT work well together because we kept getting side tracked and talking about non relevant things.
