I try to work towards my goal when doing math questions, but I still don’t work on thinking about it most of the time. I tried to think about math questions in different ways than the way teachers taught us to solve them. For example, when the teacher talks about the questions in warm-up, I listen to see how other people solved them differently from the way I did.
Month: January 2026

My Goal for 2026 is to pass grade 4 for Rock School drums. After practicing for up to 3 months, I need to complete 5 songs. I have started to practice part of the songs. Some of the new rhythms are kind of difficult to learn. Looking at the vision board reminds me of not giving up. I already completed two of the five songs. My teacher helped me a lot when I got stuck on some songs. I hope to practice more in the future.
- U: What do you understand in this unit?
- I understood how to calculate a percentage using different ways.
- N: What new information did you learn in this unit?
- I learned the formula for calculating percentages. I also learned how to solve percentages with a number line or a tape diagram.
- I: What was interesting in this unit?
- We need to create a project and apply what we’ve learned to real-life situations, so we understand how to use it in everyday life.
- T: What was tricky for you in this unit?
- It is hard when I got numbers that 100 would not be able to divide by.

In this task, we had to make a presentation talking about how the tchnology had an impact on peoples lives. We had to talk about the story of the technology and how it was created and why it was created. I choose to make a cardboard model because It would fit the topic I chose which is sailboats. The model was kind of interractive.
I think I did good on making the presentation connect with our lives.
I think I could do better at putting more time and make the details better.

When we started a new unit, we first brainstormed about the different types of technology. We then chose between communication and transportation. Then we chose a technology in that range. We found articles and then annotated them. We put the information on a graphic organizer. Then we took the information and wrote three CER paragraphs.
I think I did well on annotating articles.
I think I could improve at writing better claims that better fit the topic sentence.
EQ: How do our body systems work together when we play our favorite sport?
What I learned about sports helped me a lot with cells because connecting what we are learning in science to everyday life is really helpful.
This relates to the idea that the body is a system of subsystems, made up of groups of cells, because they all work together to make our body function. For example, the different systems in our body provide energy; for instance, the heart pumps blood to the whole body, and the muscles enable us to move. And the Skeletal system provides support for oue body.
