Vision Board/ SMART goal reflection

My goal that I wrote last semester for the vision board was to get at least a 95 on my math MAP. I achieved this goal and got a 98. My steps to achieving this goal was practicing math questions before the test. Some challenges I encountered was knowing how to deal with geometry and not procrastinating. I learned that the MAP test really isn’t that hard, and you just have to approach it calmly and with a good attitude. Accomplishments I am proud of since creating my vision board is reaching 98 on my math MAP. My new goal is to get a 99 for language usage, and reading and math should both be more than 95. I took outside classes which improved my math and language arts. My next steps will be to continue to practice inside and outside of school

Badminton Unit Reflection

I enjoyed playing badminton with my friends and playing king of the court. I also enjoyed playing against people I don’t usually play with. I improved on my drop shot and my backhand position. I also improved on having a good attitude towards my opponents. Something I should work on is remembering to not do that pancake thing with my racket. Also, using proper grip to hold the racket. And i hope we can play 2v2 next time.

Social Studies Unit 2: Essay

Process of writing my essay: first, I chose a topic and then started researching.a few articles that could give me a lot of information. I wrote around 3 pieces of evidence that could support my thinking and then reasoned, finally ending my essay with a conclusion. Something that I did well in my essay was writing more reasoning because I always have trouble thinking of reasoning. Something that I want to work on next time is using better punctuation and double checking my work. For example, I don’t want to get a grade less than 3 just because of a mistake that I could’ve avoided. Another thing that I want to work on is when researching about connecting information

Me As a Collaborator

I would rate myself a meeting as a collaborator. Other students might describe me as an active learner who answers questions. Starting from January, I will do my best to earn more exceedings for active learner.

Science Reflection Unit 2

What happens inside our bodies when we get sick? I learned that different subsystems and different body systems work together to help you get better if you are sick, and also how the body systems collapse when you get sick. This relates to the idea that the body are subsystems made up of a group of cells because we made cytoplasm cells. Dissections of animals was probably the most impactful for helping my understand the units better, because we got a hands-on experience. Also station activities because we could get multiple different experiences. If I could improve one aspect of my learning from this unit, I would write a better and more detailed CER. I would also review more for L2 online quizzes so I wouldn’t have to retest

Artivist piece reflection

The title of my artwork is “Speak Up”, and the targeted audience is for the female gender, because the person I drew is Malala, who advocates for girl’s rights. Design strategies I used were focal points, so that the viewer will look at the text above Malala’s head and the “spray paint” over Malala’s mouth. I also used color psychology such as using the color red because it catches the viewers eye.

Soccer Reflection Dec.9

I learned how to dribble a ball, and something that helped me learn was playing soccer matches with other people. I am proud of trying my best during soccer matches, even though it is hard. Something that I can work on is defending the ball.

Math Unit 2: Proportionality and Scale DrawingsUnit 2 Summative

I learned how to find the scales of proportional relationships and some things that were new to me was how you had to multiply from new graph to original graph other than the other way around. Something that is interesting is that they model situations where two variables change at a constant rate, meaning their ratio is always the same. Some things that were challenging was how I forget the equationk=y/x
