Social Studies Unit 2:Visual Presentation

Write a short paragraph explaining what the task was and why you chose to do your presentation in this format. 

I chose this way of presentation because I think a choose your own adventure book is super interesting and recently, we had an author visit that I was inspired deeply and that I wanted to write a choose your own adventure book which this project gave me a perfect chance of doing it.

Write one thing that you think you did well 

I did well in writing the story because I used a lot of time

Write one thing you think you need to work on for next time 

I think i need to work on my design for me book because even though the story is very very good, my design for the book wasn’t so good which lead to not many people coming to my presentation stand.

Social Studies Unit 2: Essay

One thing I did well in my essay. 

I did well on writing my hook and my start and my evidence which I have chosen pretty good evidence that sticks to the topic such as getting evidence of how places had a economic growth because of ATV and like how some people rely on ATV for a living which helps my point of ATV has negative and positive points. I also did well in my start because I feel like my hook is very interesting and after asking some of my friends, I have got many positive reviews.

One thing I still need to learn to do. 

I still need to work on my reasoning because my reasoning is not good, I only have repeated what I have for evidence which is something that I am very sad of, if I didn’t repeat my evidence I would have gotten a pretty perfect essay.

Math Unit 3: Proportionality and Percentages

In this unit, we have learned on how to calculate tax and tips which is very very important in our life going on. This is something that I am interested, so I am very good at calculating these using a formula which I got all correct in my final unit test which I am very proud of. The things that I could improve on is the part of drawing graphs of the situations using line graphs because I had made mistakes on drawing those kind of graphs, at the same time, I need to work on being more careful on what I wrote and how specific I wrote because I lost a point on my line graph only because it wasn’t specific enough. I can improve on these by being more careful on what I wrote, and double checking what I have wrote after I am done to make sure that I don’t make dumb mistakes such as not drawing the graph specific enough which that would improve my total score and would improve my whole life by being more careful.

My formatives are better because I always get 3 or 3.5s for my formatives but for my summitives, I sometimes do not get 3 or 3.5s

I am proud of my summative this time because I got 3 3s and 1 4 which I am very happy of because normally I don’t get all 3s.

+ What were some challenges for you?

One challenge for me was the claim because I thought that it wasn’t the best.

I used the feedback by actually looking at the PPT’s and pre-preparing the other tests

I am proud of my claim because it is the best part of my whole essay and I think it was very very specific and deep.

I did make an improve on my claim because it was the worst part of my whole essay but now, it is the best part of my essay.

I did but I failed because even though my claim was excellent my other things like reasoning and evidence wasn’t so good

I did well in my claim because I got a 3 in my claim which was the one 3 I got

The challenge for me is reasoning because that was the worst part of my essay

Swimming

In this swimming unit, I have gained a lot of more courage on standing on people’s back and jumping into the water. I am also very happy and glad to do backflips and front flips in the water with no hesitation because I might get water in my nose or eyes. I have grown in this unit a lot, from increasing my swimming skills to increasing my artistic swimming skills.

Unit 2 Formative #1

What are you proud of?

I am proud of my scores and my understanding on what mirror and windows are because they were the hardest part and I’ve got full points of them which I am super proud of because most of the other kids got at least wrong.

What were some challenges for you?

One challenge is that I forgot that mirrors were supposed to reflect on your life which I forgot and reflected in on “most of the chinese americans” Which got me a half score for the last two questions.

If you could redo the assessment, what changes would you make?

I would change the target in the mirror question from chinese american to myself because that was the only question that I’ve got wrong which I felt very very sad.

What will you do between now and the next formative to ensure you meet standards?

I would change the main subject of my mirror question to me instead of other people.

What advice would you give yourself moving forward?

REMEMBER THAT MIRROR IS TO YOURSELF
