what are we doing:
Writing a fictional story based on a theme that matters to me.
what are we learning:
Theme (my purpose for writing this story, my message to readers)
Character Development (creating believable characters with positive & negative traits)
Plot (the sequence of events in my story; Western and Eastern approaches to storytelling)
Setting (the world that I create for my story)
what’s working:
I enjoyed planning the story characters and the setting.
I am proud of how well I described the setting.
I got the idea of my story because I realized that people in my school are thinking they do not need a hand to things then they fail and they blame it on others.
The school was this big red brick building that has a silver roof glittering in the air, he walked into the hot gym with materials he never seen before, tables were set up in neat lines, and in the gym was will of kids and among them was josh and henry. (I like this line because it is a very good description of the school and the gym.)
areas for growth:
It was challenging to plan the plot of the story.(It was challenging because it is hard for me to do plots and I have never done plots this way before.
The way I deal the problem by not thinking of anything and drawing the graph be emotions and how exiting the story is and wrote based of off that.
The part I did not like was when I did not do any show not tell and just told that he realized his mistake. I do not like t because it is really awkward.
personal relevance:
Creative writing can help you in real life because it can give you life lessons.
I like creative writing because there is not a rule like poetry and other types of writing. you can write what you want and yes, I will was to keep on doing it because it fells nice to tell and say what matters to me in a fun way
