Badminton Reflection

I enjoy playing badminton with my FRIEND before class and during class. But only with my friend. I improved on backhand serve and doing more rally. Something I should work on is forehand serve because the racket is too long and I need to bend my elbow a lot to just hit the birdie. I can’t even hit it over the net. Next time, I want use more forehand throw and serve because I always use backhand serve and throw. I also hope we could play 2v2 badminton with our friends. Additionally, I like playing the badminton games.

My art work represents me and expresses my identity by the cello and piano I drew are instruments I learn and play. I started learning one of it when I was in kindergarten so music is one of the most representative and important thing in my life. Some symbols I drew are some signatures and articulating in cello and piano. I also drew my dog and items that could represent what I like. Most of them are my favorite idol (Kpop).

The design strategies I use is line and color because I drew a lot of line as decoration to fill up my cover and my sketchbook cover is a mix of different color together.

Social Studies Unit 2: Visual Presentation

This is a photo and video taken during my presentation.

The task was to present about the positive and negative impacts, and the who is suppose to fix it in front of my classmates and parents. I chose to do a 3D model because I feel like making a poster o ppt is too boring. 3D model is the most creative thing I could think of and do.

One thing I did well on is thinking about how to make the phone. Even though it looks easy and simple, it takes a while to cut the board, fix the size, and glue it together at last. I also makesure it looks good and looks like a normal phone.

One thing I didn’t do well is I wrote the positive and negative impact on the bottom part of the cardboard so it is not that easy to read and see.

Math Unit 3 Reflection

What do you understand in this unit?

I understand how to calculate percent change, what is a tax.

What new information did you learn in this unit?

I learn what is a tax and tip and how to calculate.

What was interesting in this unit?

Researching for our project and doing the ppt to calculate the discount.

What was tricky for you in this unit?

Remembering the formula of how to find the whole and part.

Science Unit 2 Reflection

The essential question I chose to answer is What happens inside our body when we get sick. In this unit, I learn about how body systems interact with leukemia which digestive and respiratory system get affected by it. Leukemia causes organs in the digestive system like gum to bleed and create feeling of bloating and fullness. People experience shortness of breath and hard breathing. The body is a system full with subsystem because the liver is a organ make up by liver tissues. The liver is a organ inside the digestive system and digestive system is a organ system.

The best experience that helped me to learn about the body system is gallery walk other’s vr and 3D model on body system. It is very clear on what organs in the system does and what other system interact with it. The cell analogy helped me memorize and learn about function of the cells. I remember the function of the cells I did and some cell function that my teammate did. I think these are the memorable experience for me because I remember things when I need write/type it down either on my laptop or on paper.

If I could improve on a aspect, I will draw my model more clear and detailed. For example next time, I would draw and label what I see in the microscope more clear. This time I drew it kind of messy so I don’t understand it when I am writing my CER and can’t use that as a evidence. I also want to reach a L3 for CER next time without making resubmission.

Social Studies Unit 2: Essay 

To write this essay, I researched for three days and takes notes on positive and negative impacts of mobile phone and impact of fixing it. Next, the first paragraph I wrote is on the positive impact of mobile phone. While we are writing, Ms. Sawyer checked on us and gave recommendation and idea on what I should change. Then, I started writing the negative impact and impact of fixing it. When I finish all the writing, the teacher gave me the detailed and final idea on where I should change. Lastly, I submitted my writing on Schoology.

One thing I did well is writing evidence and claim. I could write the claim correctly and my evidence fits the claim and is well chosen.

One thing I should work on is writing my reasoning.

Health Unit 3 Reflection

This is the decide model. Decide model is to help and stop people from doing scary actions. It lets people to think about the effect of doing this action and not doing this thing. It also let people to remember the value they see important and think about what will happen to the thing they value if they do the bad action. It lets you to write down possible actions to do and choose the best one. We learned that people both value friendship and their trait outside but safety is always the first place.

Soccer Reflection

In this unit, we learned how to dribble a soccer ball. Things that helped me in this unit is practicing how to dribble. To dribble, you use the inside or outside of your feet. This is because it helped a lot in a soccer game. Something I am proud of is I participate and kicked a lot of balls. Things I could work on is kick the soccer in a better direction.

Math: Unit 2 Summative Reflection

U: In this unit, I understood how to find scale factor and how to draw a scale copy.

N: New information I learn is what is a scaled copy.

I: Interesting thing about this unit is running outside to review for the summative.

T: Tricky part about this unit for me is doing the first part of math talk which is fill in word into blanks and finding the formula to find the length of a line.

Swimming Reflection

This unit I learn how to do artistic swimming and movements like oyster and lift. I did well on working with my partners on practicing our artistic swimming. I didn’t do well on doing an oyster because I am scared that water would get in my nose.
