Vision Board/SMART Goal Reflection

Goal Progress

I made a little bit of progress on my goal. I set screen time to make time for it to spare out and read books.

Challenges

Some challenges are that sometimes I just don’t have the mood to read the book and just want to watch YouTube or play around.

New Insights

I don’t think I gained new insights or perspective since creating the vision board.

Accomplishments

Some accomplishments that I’m proud of are reading half an hour ofa book every day, and finishing almost all the homework in school. These accomplishments align with the vision board that I had for myself because looking at the vision board will remind me remind of my goals.

Revised Goal

I don’t feel the need to revise the goal on your vision board based on your experiences and growth since creating it.

Support System

My mom will always come in my room and remind me to read books. This impacts my progress and motivation because it will remind me of my goal.

Next Steps

Next steps towards my goal are that I’m going to read 40 minutes of a book every day from now on, and try to finish all the homework.

Unit 2: Cells and human Body System Portfolio Reflection

Essential Question and Standard Reflection

The essential question that I chose is how do our body system work together when we play our favorite sport. Something that helped me on my essential question is the organs which is like a machine, helping each other. We learned that there are eleven organs in our body which builds a organ system. Another important information that helped me on answering the essential question is the four level of organization, which includes cell, tissue, organs, and organ system. This relate to the idea that the body is a system of subsystems made up of groups of cells because cell is the smallest of life. For an example, your heart is made up of subsystems(your muscle), which allow the heart to pump blood, and the muscle is made up of groups of cell.

Learning Experiences

During my learning, it’s not just learning fact and memorizing it. More importantly, you need to have way of learning, it not only will increase your speed, but also will make the experience more memorizable. Some learning experience that really helped me in class is modeling activities(Edible cell, clay or digital models) and review games(Kahoot, Gimkit, Cell Guess Who). These learning experiences are important for me because it will let me have a deep impression on my classwork.

Improvements

If I could improve one aspect of my learning in this unit as a whole, I would choose CER writing. The reason for that is because I don’t have that much vocabulary in English and sometimes I find myself hard to express something. Another reason is that I’m going to live my life with CER’s for a few more years and I know I have to improve it.

Social Studies Unit 2: Essay

In this Unit, we are doing a visual presentation, and for that, we need to write an essay. First, we will choose what communication/transportation technology we will work on. Then, we will find 3 reliable source and find a article. Next, we will do an annotation on the article and make a graphic organizer. After making the graphic organizer, I am finally working on my Essay. We first write the CER, and when we finish we will start on writing on the Introduction and Conclusion. When we finished, the teacher will check on it and we will change it.

Something I did well on my Essay

Something I did well on my essay is my introduction and conclusion, because I followed the instruction, and did nothing wrong.

Something I need to improve on my Essay

Something I need to improve on my Essay is my evidence, because I am not writing the citations correct, and I need to improve my vocabulary to write it.

PE Soccer Reflection

What did I learn?

I learned about how to pass the ball to the other players, the rules, and the part of your feet to kick the ball.

What helped?

Something that helped is my teammates. They helped me understand the formation and we discussed what each person will be. I am a defender because I can run fast and is very high sideways so I am able to block the ball easily.

What is working?

Something that is working is that I can easily block people because I’m very high sideways. Another thing that is working is that I run fast enough to block people.

What can I work on?

Something that I can work on is training on my ability on running longer because every time I can only run for a little amount of time and then I’m out of breath.

Swimming Reflection

What did I learn?

I learned how to oister, floating, back flip, front flips, and how to save people’s lives.

What did I do well?

What I do well is the back flip and the front flip. I can do it very well when I hold my nose, because if I don’t, water will come in. Another thing that I do well is the oister, because it’s just easy to get your hands and foots together and then go into the water.

What I can improve

I can improve my speed of swimming, because right now, I’m getting slower and slower when I swim. Another thing that I can improve is floating in the water using my legs and hands.

Unit 1 Math Reflection.

U: What do you understand in this unit?

In this unit, I understand how the constant Of Proportionality and the Ratio works.

N: What new information did you learn in this unit?

Some new information I learned in this unit is the COP. The COP refers to the Constant Of Proportionality, it is used for testing is the graphing is a linier function that the origin starts at (0,0).

I: What was interesting in this unit?

Something interesting in this unit is the ratio because it is easy and easy to understand.

T: What was tricky for you in this unit?

Nothing was actually tricky for me in this unit, I think that everything’s fine.

Unit 2 Math Reflection

U: What did I understand in this unit?

In this unit, I understand how to find scale factors, convert fractions, decimals, and percentages, and the proportionality of Scale drawing and diagrams.

N: What new information did you learn in this unit?

Some new information I learned in this unit is add, subtract, multiply, and divide fractions. Another information I learned in this unit is converting percentage, decimal, and fractions.

I: What was interesting in this unit?

Something interesting in Unit 2 is converting fraction, decimal, and percentages. It’s interesting because all these different things can represent the same things. Like the percentage is how many over 100, which you can also represent with fractions. And decimals use one as 100%.

T: What was tricky for you in this unit?

Something that is tricky for me is converting fractions to decimals without using a calculator. The reason for that is because some fractions like 6/7 is hard to calculate using your hands.

Unit 3 Volleyball Reflection

How did I manage to control the ball during your two-hand volleys when the game was moving fast? What helped you stay focused?

You make your hand a shape of the looser sign but use all of your fingers. Then, your bent your kneese when you hit it and release it with a push.

Describe a moment during the game when you successfully used a two-hand volley to keep the play going. What did you do to maintain control?

When we are serving the ball, unfortunatly our opponent cached the ball and I must use the two hand volley to pass it to my partner to hit the ball.
