Collaboration:
in a group project about voting on T-shirt designs, I didn’t really take on a specific role. I mostly just contributed by voting and didn’t share much of my own thoughts or ideas. I figured other people had stronger opinions, so I just went along with the group. I think I could’ve been more involved, but it felt easier to just follow what everyone else was saying. For another project where we had to recreate a scene, I disagreed with my teammates about what we should act out, how we should do it, and who would play what roles. To avoid dragging out the argument, we just decided to pick something random and went with it. It wasn’t the best solution, but it worked to keep things moving. I realized that sometimes it’s better to come up with an easy solution instead of wasting time arguing. I also noticed that when you’re in a group of people with different personalities and interests, disagreements are pretty normal. I learned to listen to others and to keep an open mind. Next time I’m working in a group, I’ll try to share my ideas more and help find solutions if there’s a disagreement.
Creativity:
there was a total of 3 tasks that I did for the creativity task, a creative image, a morning wakeup alarm, and a T-shirt design activity, I think the tasks all challenged my creativity in thinking and creating the most interesting item I can think of, either it was creating the spiral photo or drawing more spirals onto a T-shirt, realistically I don’t think I was being all that creative but I think it did help me get better at creating as my current essay as also very creatively creative, I have never been good at creating new music and I think the alarm project helped me get better at it. I did somewhat rely on other people’s creativity for some projects like the T-shirt one, as seeing others gave me inspiration for cloths. in general I think I still have a lot to improve on the aspect of creativity as I am still somewhat reliant on other people giving me inspiration
Critical thinking:
For critical thinking I completed a creative/critical thinking drawing task where I had to think of a way to get a cat down from a tree using only a watch, a wheelbarrow, and an umbrella, this really challenged me because I wanted to created a way of getting the cat down without just using a very obvious method of scary the cat down using an umbrella, and I came up with using the watch as a mirror to reflect the light rays from the sun and focusing it onto a spot near the tree to act as a bait for the cat to chase after, I think the solution I though of was pretty unique and creative and I am happy of it, but even after I submitted it I still feel that it may not actually workout that well in a real life situation. for most of the apprenticeship tasks I didn’t think too hard about them, and definitely did not try my absolute best, and I think that is a bit disappointing thinking back to it but at the same time I don’t think I would have finished all the needed tasks if I tried my best on all of them, I think I can still improve on my critical thinking skills as I previously stated from not trying my best.
Communication:
there were two tasks in the Communication category that I did, one was a presentation of something that we (me and friends) found interesting, and were really passionate about, we spent nearly two classes making the presentation and I think it was pretty decent, I was mainly in charge of making the opening slide by designing object angles so that it feels like you were standing in the actual game while its just a canva slide. The presentation wasn’t graded or anything so it wasn’t really all that serious, the slides had okay quality and our presentation was really short because someone spammed words onto each of the slides, I didn’t contribute too much mainly because there wasn’t much needed to contribute. the other task I did was a sketch about some real life issues, my group (me and friends) decided to make a very interesting skit about anti bullying, where me and friend (one) was the one bullying other friend, while other friend come and uses his mastered martial mart moves to beat up me and friend to save other friend from being bullied, this was really fun to film (at least a bit) and was definitely an interesting experience, I think it did pretty well in this activity and didn’t have much to reflect about.
Resilient:
for the resilient category I did two tasks, which were basically the same thing, one was learning a new skill, and the other was achieving or working towards a goal, for the skill that I decided to learn it was geography, memorizing as many countries as I can, I decided to do this because at the time in asian history there was a map quiz that was coming up, where we had to memorize around 10 provinces, I got bored of doing the same ten so I did all provinces in China, and then did all countries in Asia, then Europe, and then Africa took a really long time (nearly an hour), South America and North America were both really fast, and then I did oceanic territories and then the Caribbean islands, and after that I was able to achieve my goal of doing the 195 all UN officially recognized states (countries) after around 3 days of working towards it, I think this was a really fun topic to do because it felt actually meaningful unlike playing video games, but it also gave me some enjoyment for the time.
Big project:
Extracurricular activity:
in a group project about voting on T-shirt designs, I didn’t really take on a specific role. I mostly just contributed by voting and didn’t share much of my own thoughts or ideas. the zoom activity helped me collaborate with my peers by vividly describing the images in order to put them into the correct order. this activity helped me develop my listening, and speaking skills.

Although I had prior knowledge on the graphic designing classes in the maker space, it was still nice to refresh my abilities. In general, the experience was pretty fun. it wasn’t very difficult but I did learn some new things

Spiral spiral spin spin. I like spirals, so I made spiral, spiral good, spiral god. I think spirals are the best thing to be ever created. The image symbolizes my obsession with spirals. “Peter is what you would call a npc, he believes that there is no 8 billion people on earth, but most are just npcs. He believes by wearing his orange gap shirt and green vest, he can serve his imaginary spiral god called petter.” – little JT

Goal card: I want to make an effort to do my own independent thinking before turning to AI.
I chose this goal because I understand that as high school progresses, the workload may get higher and higher resulting in me trying different ways to cut the workload smaller and smaller, AI would most likely be one of the options, but I think it is still important for me to make sure that I have the ability to think for myself, and not rely on AI.
To start this goal, I would like to talk to my friends to make sure that they would encourage me to make good choices

evaluating credibility of websites before deciding to use it for a research project: you should always check if a website is made by professional trust worthy people before deciding to rely on it to create a educational project that may cause a spread of misinformation

Did you know that High school is not actually more fun than middle school? I do, because i’m in high school.
What I am looking forward to. graduation. I think I am somewhat interested in the seeing the options on the clubs but i’m not sure what I am looking forward to right now
Me: I have been at SAS for 2 years, and as of writing this I am 14 years 248 days, 21 minutes, and 13 seconds old. I have a cat, and a brother. I have two parents, 4 grandparents, and 1 grandparent’s parent. I also finished all 1088 episodes of One Piece
What I wish I had known back in middle school. Middle school is a fun era, with many different exciting projects coming at you from every corner of the school, but what there are more of, is teachers telling you how fun high school is. You get to choose everything you do! more choices ! more projects ! what they don’t tell you about high school is that half of the classes are just doing your homework and every class you are running 10 kilometers an hour to the next class. I wish I knew how fun middle school is and just enjoyed the time during the 2-3 years I have instead of looking forward to high school because now i’m looking forward to going back to elementary school in another 100 years or so.
Middle school was also a lot easier in terms of daily life, for example, in high school we eat lunch at 1:00, but in middle school, we eat almost one hour earlier, at 12:10. Middle school also felt a lot more social, since electronics were banned, so I actually got to play and talk to people without every single person staring at their phone the moment they are let out of the class. I do think that makes the “high school experience” a lot more stale compared to middle school.
I think I want my table to look normal
I will share my PP using physical artifact and also a poster of my progression, I will show the steps I took to complete or not complete the product.
I will need to complete the glass box with all the dirt/soil, plants and insects added in.
I think I do I have time but is a bit tight on time, I don’t think I need to currently change anything
