3D Printed Gift and Digital Self-Portrait
Creating my digital self-portrait was an exciting way to express who I am. I chose a Cyberpunk style because I am fascinated by technology and robots. I wanted my portrait to reflect my interests, so I incorporated elements like neon colors and futuristic details. I also included my favorite hobby, badminton, by adding a small racket and shuttlecock in the design. This project taught me that creativity allows us to showcase our identities in unique ways. Additionally, designing a 3D printed gift was both thrilling and challenging. I learned how to use 3D modeling tools, which helped me transform my ideas into real objects. It felt amazing to create something special for someone I care about. This experience showed me that thoughtful gifts can have a big impact and convey how much we appreciate others.
Wordplay and Drawing Obscure Solutions
The wordplay task pushed me to think differently about language and how I use it. I had to choose just a few important words and weave them into a story. This was tricky, but it also sparked my creativity. I realized that even simple words can hold a lot of power and meaning. In the next part of the task, I had to brainstorm unusual solutions to various problems. This challenge encouraged me to think outside the box and consider different perspectives. I discovered that asking questions like “How could I solve this?” can lead to innovative ideas. It was a valuable lesson in creativity and critical thinking that I can apply in my everyday life.
Create a Vision Board and Mindfulness Walk
Making a vision board was a fantastic way to focus on my goals for the future. I gathered images and words that represent what I want to achieve, and it helped me visualize my aspirations. This project taught me that having a clear vision can motivate me and keep me determined to overcome challenges along the way. Additionally, the mindfulness walk was a refreshing break from my routine. As I walked outside, I took the time to notice the beauty around me, like the frozen grass glistening in the sunlight and the cheerful chirping of birds. This experience reminded me of the importance of being present and taking time to relax. It’s essential for maintaining resilience during busy days, allowing me to recharge and stay strong.
Presentation and Instructional Guide
Preparing for my presentation significantly improved my speaking skills. I learned how to share information clearly and make it engaging for my audience. This task showed me that storytelling can create a connection with people, helping them relate to my ideas more easily. I practiced using visuals and examples to make my points clearer. Creating an instructional guide was another valuable experience. I had to explain complex topics in simple terms, which required me to organize my thoughts effectively. This project taught me that a well-structured guide can empower others to learn new skills confidently. It was fulfilling to know that my efforts could help someone else understand something better.
Comparing Original and Cover Songs
Comparing the original song to its cover version highlighted key differences, particularly in pacing. The original has a relaxed, drawn-out tempo that creates a soothing atmosphere, while the cover is noticeably faster and more energetic, giving it a lively feel. This change makes the cover exciting and showcases the artist’s unique style while respecting the original. This experience taught me how different interpretations can reveal distinct qualities and emotions in music. Additionally, I filmed a short video on a topic I was passionate about. Planning my shots and speaking confidently on camera helped me engage my audience, while editing allowed me to add music and text for a more interesting presentation. This project emphasized the importance of creativity and collaboration in both music and video production
Goal:
My goal this year is to consider whether it is the right thing to do before using AI and how much I should use AI in my work. I would use AI as a learning helper by researching it and giving me feedback. I would consider whether it might affect others for example if I don’t cite a photo I used then the person who took the photo might not be happy. The things that might stop me from reaching my goal would be forgetting to cite the source or the photo and I might not find who took the photo. I will achieve my goal by next year.

One takeaway I had from today is to consider how others will interpret what we say online and why it is important to be clear when we talk online because when we talk online we don’t know the other person’s expressions so we won’t know if something was a joke or if he meant it or not. If it were in person we would see if they were joking and it would be easier to tell if it was a misunderstanding.

Learning math in middle school has helped me become a better collaborator and critical thinker. Working on group projects with my friends has strengthened my ability to think critically and work as part of a team. In math, we often had to solve complex problems together, which really pushed us to collaborate effectively and develop our skills in order to succeed.

My High School Excitement!!!
I’m really excited for high school, especially because of new classes like robotics, which I’ve been looking forward to for a while. In robotics, I’m eager to design and build a chassis robot using Fusion 360 to design the base and laser cutting it, and then coding the Arduino Uno to control the motors and adding some other components. I’ve already designed some small items that have helped me get familiar with Fusion’s functions and shortcuts, so I feel ready to take on this challenge.
I am excited about playing baseball this season, especially the opportunity to compete with other schools and improve through the training sessions. I have improved a lot after I went to training, I learned how to slide in my last class which and learned a lot in my other class.
Creating a portfolio, or blog is a great way to collect all the work you’ve done throughout your academic career. You can include academic, athletic, and personal artifacts or experiences that you want to share with a wider audience. This is a great way to organize all your learning in one place and you can take it with you when you leave SAS. When you make your portfolio, you create posts that are categorized according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you, but if you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:
