Art vessel reflection

  1. In what ways did you demonstrate your skills as a Creative Learner while working on this project? Use the attribute list to guide you.

While mostly sticking to the plan that we made before hand, we added elements that were not part of the plan. We also used different methods to create the same thing. For example, for the star, we started with different shapes. I started with the center then added the five legs. On the other side Isabella directly built the shape of the star.

  1. In what ways did you demonstrate your skills as an Active Learner while working on this project? Use the attribute list to guide you.

I focused on our group work and was able to contribute to my group to help finish the project. At the same time, we also talked to each other about how to deal with issues that came up.

  1. When working in a group setting, what does each member of a group need to keep in mind? Give examples from your experience during this project.

To remember to stay on task and try your best to have an equal split of work amount.  For example in our team I worked on the star and part of the vessel.

PTSD presentation reflection

  1. Social media impacts teens because they will have to worry about their impressions on social media and therefore give them a lot of pressure to make them seem “fine” on social media.
  2. Mental stigmas exists because people are not able to understand what people are feeling when they have PTDS or depression or so on, they think that these people are just feeling sad and they can somehow because “not sad” but it actually does not work like that.
  3. What I learned in this lesson is that there is a lot of bias towards people who has mental issues and therefore, people should provide them with more understanding and not have stigmas against them.

Making Ice Cream in Science Class

Today in class we made ice cream first we added milk, sugar, vanilla extract, in a small bag a shook it, then in a bigger bag we put ice first and then salt. The reason we put salt is because the when we put the salt into ice the salt attracts thermal energy with the ice and when the ice melts the thing around it (in this case is milk and the materials to make ice cream) will become colder and then we shake it so ice cream will be make. shaking the bag was really important because when you shake the bag the milk will have a closer touch with the bag and the ice cream will become colder and also when you shake the bag the fat in the milk will touch each other and it will become ice cream. I think the reason our ice cream was not really ice cream because it is either we did not add enough ice or we did not shake the bag for enough time.

Today in class we made this box because our cubby to put our things are exploded so we need to make this box to sort things and we will be able to have a small space that we only have our own things in it. We used the following materials: hot glue, cardboard, and cutting knife.

The Icy Igloo

Today in class me and my partner Victoria made this igloo model to protect the almost extinct penguins. Because people dug up the penguin’s guanos (which is their poop) they do not have any protection under the heat neither do their eggs so we are trying to save them and keep them from extinction.  The materials that we used are wood, mylar, cotton, and fabric. We did not add cotton on the inside because we think that it will make the nest be warmer and that will be what we want to do. Then when we are done with the body of the nest we added some blue stars that are made out of extra fabric on the top of the nest and the front of the nest. So the nest that protects the penguins and their eggs will be the isolator instead of a conductor and it can well protect the eggs an the penguins so that they can reproduce and they won’t die out.

The Graph We Made In Math

  1. This project is for math grading to see how much we have done through our statistics unit.
  2. Because I looked at which graph shows that McDonalds has less calories and which graph shows that the other brands have more calories.
  3. I did well on describing the graphs and the explanation for each graph.
  4. I think I should change on the coloring of the graph and the formatting of it because I did not take that much time into is and I just used most of my time on the explanation
  5. I did not really use the CARP design decisions because as I said I should change it and add more details for the CARP design decisions.

What We Did In Our Endangered Animals Unit.

The animal that I researched on are seals actually they are harp seal, for this unit I made a website on weebly and shared with our class mate the amount of harp seals are increasing a little but still the amount of them is still not as much as when they were at the start.

My All About Me Post

This is what I did in keynote, I used a lot of shapes and a lot of my own pictures. I love animals (except the dog in my mom’s friend’s house that dog is horrible!) I can also play two instruments. And finally I love to travel around.
