Art Group Clay Vessel

In this project, I demonstrated connections, contributed to the group, cooperated with the group, and answered many of its members’ questions. Most of my group members have dry hands, which causes the clay to crack, so we should not touch the clay too much while sculpting.

Cell Phones can be Negative and Positive.

Our project used four pieces of evidence to show whether cell phones are negative or positive: two pieces of evidence for how they are negative and two for how they are positive. Cell phones can cause students to stop communicating with others and get more addicted to social media but, they can sometimes help people communicate, for example, by playing multi-player games.

Next year in high school, I think that cell phones should be limited, for example, students can use them at lunch or break time, but they have to put away their phones in class. It will cause some students to get addicted to their phones more, but some others can also still keep communicating with people face to face. Its basically saying how students can control their phone use.

This photo shows that people are addicted to their phones but still with their friends.

penguano Nest

African Penguins are facing extinction because their habitat was ruined by humans. Once there was mountains and hills that penguins can live in, but now there is just a blank space. Without mountains and hills, Penguins cannot lay their eggs safely or else they get eaten by predators, they cannot keep out sun heat and will get burned badly.

To save the African Penguins my group the Pinguano nest group invented and nest just for the Penguins to live in. This house is in three layers. the first layer is wood stick. And the second layer is foam which is the best material in the 6th grade cold cup challenge. The third layer is cotton which is the second-best materials in the 6th grade cold cub challenge. we used 85 Penguin bucks to buy the materials. While others use less Penguin bucks just to lower down the price, eventually they will not get good things to make the nest. my group also added a small entrance so the Penguins can go in to keep out the predators, which they can safely lay their eggs safely.

McDonalds Statistic Reflection

  1. This is a assessment that shows others that we have the ability to show understandings to graph and can figure out how to do the 5 summary.

2.  To let us understand the way of using a graph, and it helps us figure out using a graph helps you easy to see all the numbers.

3. I  improve on calculating the 5 summary. At first I only know the answers when I can just see and find the quartile that are all ready in the middle, then I improved on calculate to find the 5 summary.

4. I want to improve on box plots. Because some reason I have problems putting the box to the right place.

Welcome to Your New Portfolio!

Why have a digital portfolio at SAS?

Creating a portfolio, or blog is a great way to collect all the work you’ve done throughout your academic career. You can include academic, athletic, and personal artifacts or experiences that you want to share with a wider audience. This is a great way to organize all your learning in one place and you can take it with you when you leave SAS.  When you make your portfolio, you create posts that are categorized according to your subject. Some categories have already been set up for you, but if you need more categories you can add them as needed. It’s important that your posts have the following:

  • An engaging title – this should not include the name of the subject since this is referenced in the category. Think of this as the first opportunity to engage and hook your reader!
  • Body – this is where you share your learning. This should include a combination of text and media in the form of images, graphics, and embedded videos. You should always consider how your post looks to your audience. Is it engaging and organized? Do they want to keep reading?
  • Category – select one that has been set for you or add a new category. Posts can have more than one category e.g. Humanities and Myself as a Learner
  • Tags – create tags that can be used as keywords to describe your post. Tags help organize your post a little more! Aim to have 3-5 tags for each post. For example, if you are posting about a novel you wrote, you might want the following tags: #Fiction, #MurderMystery, #Theme, #PlotDiagram
