This woop goal encapsulated my wanting to cultivate honest and healthy conversations with my loved ones, whether that’s with family or friends. This was achieved by starting every day off by eating breakfast with my parents. This helped a lot because usually I get taken to school earlier, but to reach my goal, I went to school the same time as my brother to be able to converse with them. Some challenges would be the time we wake up and the time we want to go to school as I want to go to school earlier, but my brother thinks otherwise. The wish I wanted was to spend more time having honest conversations, and that was achieved with my evidence of doing so.
I used to think that mental health disorders weren’t as big of a deal as I do now.
This unit taught me that mental health disorders are so stigmatized on social media and how it’s portrayed is not the reality.
I’ve also learned that mental health disorders are a lot more common than I’d thought and a lot of celebrities struggle with them and are open about them affecting their lives.
I’ve also come to learn that anxiety especially is a disorder and not just the feeling of being nervous or “anxious” over certain tasks.
I have also gained understanding especially in the field of OCD, as this disorder is frequently tossed around when in reality these disorders make a world of difference with those who experience them. Below is a photo of someone doesn’t suffer from OCD and someone who does.
Learning about these mental health disorders taught me to be more careful with my word choice when taking about them. I also learned to be there for someone who may be struggling with these disorders, so I will apply that to my daily life.
The purpose of my conference is to share with you my progress in my classes.

I’d like to share-
What I’ve done and what I still want to achieve
Some areas of growth, struggles, and some of my work
My goals and how I plan to achieve them
My Vision Board
Some of the things included on my vision board are:
Consistency
Productivity
Creativity
These are important because these factors for me are necessary in order to stay on track during school and my life outside of school. These goals both help me improve my organization, up my active learning inside school, and maintain a healthy balance between school my social life. The to-do list effectively shows a good balance that helps
My WOOP goal was to better my sleep health and understand the effects of it on my daily life to predict the behaviors on upcoming days. In order to achieve this, I used the app; SleepWell. SleepWell is a sleep-tracking app that describes the amount of time you slept compared to your set goal, the time you were in bed, how long it took you to fall asleep, and the time you woke up. Some other features include how rested you feel after waking up, the amount of sleep disruptions (how many times you wake up during the night), sleep efficiency, and a seven day sleep rhythm. One suggestion I have however, would be to include an average sleep time in the app to average out your sleep time to further inform us of our sleep health.
As you may have noticed, the spots circled in light blue represent the amount of time I was asleep for, and how spot on the sleep was. The highlights in yellow represent the time I was in bed, how long it took me to fall asleep, and the time I woke up. There is also a panel at the top of the screen that represents the days I used the tracker. The following images represent the repetition of my sleep pattern which show that I’ve used the app. I believe that this app is interesting for a variety of factors including the accurate monitoring of your health throughout while still having a close estimate of the time you spent sleeping the whole day. Another interesting feature I’ve noticed would be the sounds that you’re able to track during the night. Speaking of other features, another unique one would be inputting the information for the amount of times you wake up per day. This connects back to my original WOOP goal as it healthily monitors my sleep which tells me my energy levels for the day, therefore connecting with my WOOP goal. This also connects to the technology aspect of my WOOP goal because when you start to sleep track, the app asks for you to put your phone down and to put it above your head, therefore permitting the use of my phone before sleep. Overall I really enjoyed using this app as it helped significantly shift my sleep schedule and improve a more routine like schedule before bed. In order to straighten out this as
In the first semester, I took a test regarding the use of grammar. It was an L3 assignment, and I achieved a 2/3. The reasoning behind my 2 was because of the lack of efficiency. I chose this artifact because this demonstrated a unwell understanding of the vocabulary, resulting in a 2. This grading caused me to do extra at home and practice being more confident with the vocabulary learned in class as Ms. Inna recommended. During this semester, I needed to improve my use of Impératif verbs and Avoir mal structure. Memorizing elements, elaborating, and using the vocabulary well next time was my goal for the next semester. This was in Unit 2, “En Bonne Sante.” I didn’t know how to properly use vocabulary back then, which is why I chose this artifact to present my growth in French class this year
Artifact 2:
In the second semester, I had described the French soldiers in WW1. This was also an L3 assignment, but this time, I achieved a 3/3. The comments were describing my use of descriptive vocabulary, something I lacked in the first semester. I believed that these two were good comparisons because they both demonstrated my growth not just in French, but in vocabulary. This unit, however, was about WW1, a more difficult subject. This was juxtaposed against my previous assignment because they have similar grading strategies, and in this unit, I proved to grow significantly, causing the reasoning behind my choice in artifact. This was done by reviewing again and again the provided vocabulary on this unit. I elaborated and included vocabulary learned in the semester, things I didn’t do last semester. Incorporating these helped my grade go from a 2 to a 3.
Mindfulness is an important aspect of stress resilience as it helps mobilise your emotions and calm them down. A strategy to incorporate mindfulness in your daily life would be meditating and focusing on your breath anchor. Your breath anchor is where you feel your breathing is most strongly. Meditating is an important part of mindfulness. Meditating is useful in a plethora of ways such as helping with distress. Distress is an emotional type of stress where it causes you to feel anxious and may be caused by triggers. Triggers could be caused by traumatic events such as deaths in family, mental health conditions, etc. On the other hand, eustress is a positive form of stress. Eustress has beneficial effects on your health well being, and performance at a certain task. For example, if you need to present in front of class and you’re stressed, you’re most likely experiencing eustress.
This image illustrates meditation, which serves as a valuable tool for building resilience against stress.
Standard – I can develop a model of the Earth-Sun-Moon System to describe seasons, moon phases, and eclipses.
Guiding Question- Why do we need to wear special glasses to observe a solar eclipse and not a lunar eclipse?
You need to wear special glasses during a solar eclipse because you are looking directly into the sun and it will damage your eyes badly while during a Lunar eclipse, you are staring into the moon and can only see the suns corona aka the fire ring.
This was the ice cream my partner and I made. (I’m on the left, she’s on the right)
It consisted of Milk, Coarse salt, Sugar, and Vanilla Extract. It was made by first pouring in milk, sugar, and vanilla extract into a small ziploc bag. Then we put it in a bigger ziploc bag and added ice and coarse salt. We then shook it up for around 8 minutes and when we opened it, there was ice cream! This happened because salt makes the ice melt faster which means that it transferred the coldness into the ice cream. It turned out to be more of a soft serve consistency and tasted really good! Overall, this was really fun to make and eat.
What math did you use for this project? We used rates and ratios for this project.
If you could re-do this project, what changes would you make during your timed trials to help your prediction for the final race? I would probably walk a bit slower and count during the actual race to make the time more similar.
What units of measure did you use during your timed trials? Kilometers, seconds, and minutes. How important were units in your process? They were very important because it was the seconds that mattered for the race. We had to get the exact amount of seconds in the race or else it wouldn’t work out. What happened to groups that didn’t include units on their paper? They would fail!!!!!!!
